  1. Looks good! Can I make a little request though, please make the pics a bit smaller. Us poor 56kers don't like waiting for megs of .jps to download when they could be about a quarter of the size. If you resize to 640x480 you can get good quality from 20-30kB files. Keep 'em coming.
  2. You can get a mod to save everywhere from Steve M's site (it's the menu editor): http://people.freenet.de/steve-m/ A lot more general info about modding can be found at GTAForums : http://www.gtaforums.com
  3. SILENCE! Some people have no respect.
  4. It's probably worth while dropping by GTAForums' Modification Showroom and Editing Discussion forums.
  5. The two teams have merged to form one team, therefore there will be only one release. It will go by the name MTA.

    Some Suggestions

It should be possible for the MTA team to add more bribes into the game.
  7. I think I'll quote myself here : The first thing I thought when I read that it required v1.1 was to click the link and install the patch... not to log on to MTA forums and start bitching about it.. . Saying that, xerox has written the most sensible post in here so far when he said :
  8. Random if definately the way to go. You'd need a database of say, 50 or more checkpoint locations on each island. First the client would pick a startpoint and everyone assembles there, from then on it picks one of the nearest 4 or 5 checkpoints at random, and so on up to say 10 or 20 in total. I think that would work well and give plenty of variety.
  9. Sounds like the basis of a good idea. I started to design a few street race map mods for GTA3, they mark out the route with flashing mines, cones and barriers. But to use them on multiplayer everyone playing would need to install them (not that it's very hard). I do think it would be better to have some kind of standard race courses, like me said, otherwise the person laying out the course has an unfair advantage as they are the only one who knows where to go! I think the only way to have successful 'private' races is on a private server, otherwise the other players who aren't racing are likely to get in the way at best or at worst blow you into little pieces .
  10. Is there a way to get the cop uniform apart from in the mission where you're given one?
  11. Well, the argument-ending statement here is that at the moment you need it to play the only multiplayer Vice City mod...
  12. Exactly, it doesn't cause any problems, so why not require everyone to have it installed? It's not exactly a large download or tricky installation procedure is it.... Only problem may be with warez versions. So go and buy it cheapskates, it's a fantastic game!
  13. Pricedown font (requires no registration): http://www.larabiefonts.com I thought the tune was Clubbed To Death, but it sounds different somehow. Remix I guess.
  14. Players are not invincible, Cars are not invincible, Traffic and maybe peds will be included in future versions, All this has been covered before, USE THE FRICKIN SEARCH!!
  15. Looks like radar is working too. What's the mysterious 2nd green dot though? A 3rd player?
  16. Sure you can build one, but to use it you'll need to make sure everyone playing has it installed. I think mods are officially not recomended by the devs at this point in time.
