  1. I'm sure I saw a post where one of the devs explained that the 900 health is a work around problems with the death animation. You don't have to take 900 for the player to die, they actually die at 800, so in effect they have 100 health. Shooting people for ages and them not dying is a sure sign of disconection/bugs.
  2. Has anybody actually tested it with maps though? I don't see any reason why if all the players run the same map mods it should cause any problems. All that is sent by MTA is position data. Of course, the current performance of MTA doesn't really make it ideal for stability testing..
  3. A little tip for you. If you do a clean install of GTA3 and run it once (to generate the textures) you can then just make as many copies of your GTA3 folder as you like. One for MTA, one for YaMM, one for GTA3T, one for any other map/car/mission mods you might like to run.
  4. I'm afraid the parked car locations are held in the main.scm (mission scripting) file, not in the map files. This is already heavily modified for MTA, I'm guessing they pretty much started from scratch with the main.scm for MTA so they lost all the original parked cars. It would be nice to have a few more of different types parked around the city though.
  5. That's over 100 700MB CDs Why not buy a smallish HD to install Windows on and keep your 80gig as second drive?
  6. This isn't something that I've seen on my XP system and I don't think it's been mentioned here before. I'm assuming that it's a problem with your system then, all I can suggest is the usual - get latest drivers, windows updates etc. And if nothing else works, reinstall.
  7. I think he's trying to copy WoBBer...
  8. Everyone just get one of these beauties and lag will never be a problem again!
  9. Or you could use Xvid,a totally free alternative to Divx.
  10. You wait for someone nice with some spare web-space and bandwidth to offer you somewhere to upload it. If it is the same quality perhaps MTA site people might consider replacing their 45MB one with your 7MB file.
  11. That reminds me of another benefit of the new design, no more people asking where to get "those ramps and stuff and monster trucks".
  12. I've spotted a little problem, site links are not very easy to spot against the gray post background.
  13. He's got a dodgy ripped version perhaps? If he hasn't even installed MTA that makes this the wrong forum and possibly the wrong site to be asking on...
  14. So it wasn't a dyslexic cars/cans mix up then?
  15. You might want to keep an eye on YaMM, no release as of today. I couldn't get GTA3T to work, whenever I start I get chased by a group of the player characters trying to beat me up!
  16. But please please please please please search the forum first to see if you have a different bug and not just the same ones that get posted over and over and over and over again.
  17. I believe the young lady is known as 'Sofie'.
  18. Well, at risk of being horrifically flamed to death, I have to say I always thought the first top-down GTA games were highly overrated. They were fun for 5mins, then I just got bored of not being able to see where I was going.
  19. Well done on the new forum layout guys! Now I don't have to wait for the stupid background to load before I can read what's on the screen.
  20. Are you sure you're running version 0.3b?
  21. SPAM you say? In here? Madness!
  22. Hello? Anyone home? ...the door was open...
