  1. Doesn't geographical location constitute an excuse? Only 80% of the United Kingdom or something have access to high-speed Internet. So you're saying you don't care about a fifth of the population, and that 12 million people in the UK alone shouldn't be able to play online games so that the other 48 million can play it with less lag?

    Bandwith

MTA uses more bandwidth than SA-MP.
  4. Yes, but you have to disable MOTD downloading in the client.
  5. For the solution to your creating server problem, open up the MTA folder in Program Files and delete the .manifest file there. Problem solved

  7. Hm, I doubt you can haxor the server itself
  8. Unfortunately not, it's a bug with the software. I'm sure it'll be fixed in an upcoming release

  10. I'm certain there are some GTAVC trainers which have a debug mode that shows you co-ordinates.
  11. Well the only reason I can see for external media failing the CRC check is that either it's damaged, or the device trying to read it is damaged.
  12. Failing the Cyclic Redundancy Check? Your disk may be scratched, my friend

    game crashing

This is the 0.5 forum Talidan... Either ways do you have an American version of the game, or what?
  15. If you go to http://www.microsoft.com/windows/window ... wcase.aspx you can preview HDTV content in its different resolutions. 480i = 720x480 pixels 720p = 1280x720 pixels 1080i = 1920x1080 pixels p = progressive scan i = interlaced
  16. Have you tried clicking the Players tab to sort it? Also, disable your firewall and try again.
  17. The 1080i HDTV format is 1920x1080 pixels, if you didn't know.
  18. If you receive an "Invalid XML" error when uploading your map to the MTA Center, you need to open the map in the editor, go to Race Options and then Meta Data, and set an Author and Description. Test your map before uploading it to check validity - this prevents having to reupload it afterwards. Now save your map and upload it, the Center will accept it.

    linux?

http://www.linux-gamers.net/ also has a good forum, try asking for help there since the MTA client isn't officially supported on Linux, whether or not it is under a Windows emulator.

    MTA: VC Skinning

Custom skins are easy to add, and pretty easy to make. You can download loads of skins from the Internet and I think there's even a sample one which tells you how to make them when you install the game. All you do to add skins is drop the BMP file into a special directory in the GTAVC folder somewhere (can't remember where) and then you can select that skin in game. Problem is, custom skins aren't sychronised in online play so people will just see you with the default skin for whatever class you've spawned as.
