  1. I suggest you give up on the whole setting up server thing. Either go to college and learn something about computing and networking, or go to http://www.gta-host.com and just buy a server. They will set one up for you, no hassle, no fuss.
  2. Like I said, local servers do not show up in the server list. Why don't people listen around here? It's nothing to do with his router allowing it or not, it's the way the server browser was coded.

Your screenshot is too blurred really to read anything, but from what I can make out it looks like you're connecting to a local server with your Internet IP. Try connecting with your local IP instead.
  4. Thirdly, the server list doesn't show local servers.
  5. Found it fine in mine... What router do you have Semi-Retarded?
  6. Who said you didn't have Internet access? And making abusive posts towards people who are trying to help you isn't the way to go, you could just co-operate with them surely? You obviously aren't listening to what I'm trying to say. You're trying to connect to your LOCAL server with your INTERNET IP. Say I went to a friends house and we had some other peeps round here. We all plug our computer into his router/switch, use the wireless, whatever. I set up an MTASA server on my computer, but my friend doesn't have Internet access at his house, but that's fine, since it's only us who want to play on it. How do we connect to it though, if we don't have an Internet IP? That's exactly what you're trying to do, connect to a local server, but for some extremely retarded reason which I cannot figure out, you're trying to connect with your Internet IP. What I am trying to point out is, how would you be able to access your server if you DIDN'T HAVE INTERNET ACCESS? Also, you don't need to open ports to connect to local servers, that's only if you want external users to be able to make direct connection to you. All you need to do is connect to the LAN IP of the machine which is hosting it, or if it's on your PC (which is also retarded) then use localhost or 127.0.0.1 Rant over, and please don't try to act smarter than me when you obviously aren't. If you don't even know how to connect to a local server, I can't understand why you've even tried setting one up.

Is that an Acer 3003WLMi? My friend has one of them.

    Ban System

Can you guys not read? Obviously not, so I'll quote my original post: Now, lets hope you actually read it this time. The idea of the Windows install time is good, since there's actually very very little chance of two people having installed it on exactly the same time, day etc.

Don't take advice from Andy, he can't spell.
  10. Well we can't offer you any support if you're playing it illegally. Why don't you just buy GTAVC? It's so old now that shops are probably GIVING it away, it's so cheap.
  11. That's the problem, most routers won't allow you to connect to local servers with your Internet IP. How would you expect to connect to it if you didn't have Internet access? Learn some stuff about networking and then try setting your server up.

    free server??

I used to run a stunt competition in MTA 0.5 and the prize for the winner was a 26 slot server.
  14. If you have mods installed you won't be able to play anyway.
  15. Yes but, which IP are you using to connect to it? If you answer my question I can help you.

    Help!

It sounds like your computer. Try doing a virus/spyware scan and defragmenting etc. Also make sure no CPU/RAM intensive tasks are running in the background, such as video re-encoding etc
  17. Have you modified the install at all?
  18. Do you have the version 1.1 exe?
  19. What IP are you using to connect.

    Ban System

Unless you force a user to pay for an account to play (like Valve do with their Steam content delivery system), there's no way you can ban someone. IP, MAC address, hostname, hardware serial numbers, it can all be changed.
  21. Are there any other mods which require you to have 1.0?
