Even if an "effective method" of banning was developed, that still would not completely prevent cheating. To find the real solution of preventing cheaters is to step into their own shoes; why do they cheat? Fun. Make the game funner. Wich is why I think blue will drastically reduce the amount of cheaters. Of course, I'm talking about the ones that speedhack/map mod/fly around. As for the f*ckers that use inf health, I hope a very effective method of banning is developed.

Is it literally freezing or is the game encountering an unhandled exception? And what exactly happens on other games? And how long have you been playing MTA? Did this happen all the sudden? Answer those questions, it makes helping you easier

Umm that link took me to a Moo Mapper tutorial. That has barely anything to do with cars. Cerbera has a huge documentary all about handling.cfg and stuff if thats the kind of car editing your wanting to do. But if you want to get into modelling.. theres nothing I can really say except.. practice.

Umm that doesn't really make sense to me, the only purpose I can see that for is re-organizing the offsets of all the files, but that can be done via Rebuild Archive.. It sucks that the author of that mod was announced dead. I hope that was a rumor

You should have deleted all those files in the IMG before replacing. In fact, never use the replace tool. Delete then add. Also, check to make sure you haven't went over your object limit in VCLimitAdjuster. Load that program, tell it where your gta-vc.exe is, then look for any red numbers. If there are some, just raise up the limit until they turn green. It would be a lot of help for you to tell me exactly where the game crashes according to the progress bar on startup, because I know where it loads wich files and its location when it crashes can tell me basically the last file loaded.

If I remember... Ghost of delete key was creating a multiplayer mod using this SCM hook but it didn't go far. But I think using SCM directly within the client would severely increase smoothness. Some of the most common logical executions cannot be performed in SCM, but when combining C++ code and scm the possibilities are endless. SCM: If player presses H SCM: Play a wait_state animation of tommy waving his hand, saying hello. C++: Detect the player who is nearest to you. C++: Send a 'hello' packet to player 2 PLAYER2 C++: Draw a 'X says hello!' on screen. PLAYER2's SCM: Have player 1 play wait_state animation of tommy waving his hand, saying hello. or C++: If player2 walks up to player1 and presses P SCM: Freeze_player C++: Send a packet to player2 client telling him to freeze PLAYER2's SCM: Freeze_player PLAYER2's C++: Draw a PM system on the screen for private chat C++: Draw a PM system on the screen for private chat As you can see.. SCM & c++ used together can make pretty much anything.. But then again, there is Delfi's trick where you can write to memory addresses using SCM, via creating your own opcode. That alone would be a great achievement.

Its not just a speedometer. Its a full blown directx hook into C++, the language MTA was coded in. With a few tweaks it can work with any game that uses DirectX8+.. I wouldn't be suprised if they used it themselves for the chat screen. Wich is not a bad thing, it's source was posted for a reason.

Dont you realize that a lot of things can be classified as 'synced' by syncing something else? Example: Since aiming is 100% synced, the shootable 'targets' and explosive barrels will be synced. Example: Since a player's XYZ is 100% synced, the beachball *should* be synced, depending on if it actually will bounce off an actor's head or only the player's.. Example: Since a car's XYZ is 100% synced, hydraulics are automatically synced. Synced synced synced synced synced..... once you sync one thing, atleast one other thing is bound to get synced.

hmm, this has already been discussed. Your a little late but anyway, you had a few nice points, except the "one death doesn't mean much" part. that all depends entirely on the game mode. what if it was 15 deaths and your team loses, and you have 1 life left?

Maybe there will be 2 textboxes, one for clan and one for nick. Maybe we could have the clan in a different color then the nick. Who knows

That makes prison mods a good idea. Like if someone tries to shoot your car while your in a street race, automatically put them in prison for 5 minutes.
