Si|ent
Since San Andreas′s release in North America a week ago, we′ve worked hard to build Multi Theft Auto: San Andreas on the Blue platform. Two nights ago saw a breakthrough for multiplayer GTA gaming: the first synchronisation in San Andreas. After an initial problem that took some fixing, progress has been swift. With object creation in the early stages, in this case a 3D marker: image Followed by player creation and manipulation: image With vehicle creation and basic synchronisation following shortly afterwards: images As always this and more information can be found at http://www.mtasa.com Where another exclusive screenshot can also be found. DominionSpy
And ped manipulation coming together if i get this rigth. peds is gonna be a feature?? In MTA, the other players you see are technically peds, so when they talk about ped manipulation, they are talking about the fundamental things that need to work to see other players move, shoot etc. Link to comment
Oli
And ped manipulation coming together if i get this rigth. peds is gonna be a feature?? This is more about how the players ingame will be synced, it is not to hint to anything regarding AI peds. Edited June 14, 2005 by Guest Link to comment
eAi
As DomSpy says, players are peds, they're one and the same. Link to comment

orappa
Are the markers 3D so that you don't have them cluttering up the radar? P.S. Great work. Link to comment
=Phil=
i was honestly not expecting an update this early considering you only make this in your spare time.. However i can honestly say i'm looking forward to it Link to comment
Guardians Proper
Wonderful, doobedoo, etc etc, ditto on what everyone else says. Let's hope it hits your host and comes directly to my harddrive as soon as possible. Link to comment
eAi
3d markers are those pretty 3d things that tell you where to stand or stop your car, or how to get into a building. The image shown is a 3d marker using the same model as the checkpoint. Radar markers are still used, though of course how they're used is entirely up to the mod developer. In a race mod, like the one we're developing at the moment, all the vehicles will have a marker I expect. That'll probably be optional, blind races can be fun Edited June 14, 2005 by Guest Link to comment
MeanpantheR
omfg this is the first time i realy have been impressed that much by the mta team, now i dont think anyone can complain about them doing a slow job now... keep it up mta team Link to comment
eAi
This is why blue is so good... after the inital issues we had, we were in-game playing within 12 hours (albeit without full sync). With the old (0.2-5) core that'd have taken weeks or months to do. Link to comment
Capone
so would we be expecting a early release.. Edit: or quicker then you had planed(targeted) Link to comment
orappa
so would we be expecting a early release.. It depends how you define early, but I know for a fact that they will not give a definite release date. Link to comment
s0beit
well i cannot wait till the first release of blue, but here is a question... if the san andreas version gets done before the vice version, will SA just be put on hold until VC is finished?.. Link to comment
Capone
..i fink they sould have two stats bars on the front page one for VC other for SA ..1st get 0.5.5 out of the way cos thats still on 87 Link to comment
eAi
The San Andreas version takes considerable priority over the Vice City version, though they can, in the future be developed on side by side. Link to comment
orappa
The San Andreas version takes considerable priority over the Vice City version, though they can, in the future be developed on side by side. Is it possible that there will be a combined client like 0.4/0.5 in the future? Link to comment

Gamefreek
blue is fully integrated into Vice City, this means that there is no longer an external program required to launch MultiTheftAuto. I guess that would also be the same for San Andreas. Link to comment
