try taking of 'read only' for the entire GTA dir, then reset the config file.

yhe when we played manhunt on LAN here (8 players) we decided to take off the radar option on all the computers. But then there was the !hint command and !loc Still much funner than having the radar.

I had a good stubby match last night, 1 vs 1 with a m8. Those are quite kewl and Bio a ban isn't justified for heli killing the robbers, but it sure is fun! also being on the ground trying to evade the heli while also fighting your oppenents.

Try updating video drivers to the latest version. Most likely you have a ATI card or an nVidia card. nVidia drivers: http://www.nvidia.com ATI drivers: http://www.ati.com updating should solve the issues, though I've never had MTA messing with any of my video options.

Yep the installer asks for the directory as well.

You have to point the config tool to your server dir, I think the server has to be renamed to 'mtaserver0.4' for it to be detected by the tool.

You can set the name of the server and player count etc. in the mtaserver.conf (open with notesblock) or you can use the Server Config tool, which can be found here: http://www.mtavc.com/downloads.php?file_id=75

Well usually the default path is: C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto Vice City\gta-vc.exe The client wants you to guide it to the gta-vc.exe when you click the 'start game' button. Then you should be configured for the future.

Yeah the server always says that when ASE is on, I do see my server in special/LAN servers in the all seeing eye

I don't know if it would get harder, I guess it will depend who fires the first shot in Blue. It will be quite enjoyable actually to hit what your aiming for.
