  1. Does the same thing happen in single player?
  2. Do you have the original .exe that came with your game?
  3. Do you have GTA:SA v1.0? If not, make a backup of your gta_sa.exe and downgrade it: http://mtavc.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15151

  5. The team is working very hard on deathmatch right now, so any updates to race will probably be bug fixes and small additions. I doubt they will be making any dedicated game modes for race any time soon.
  6. If they ever do add a coop mode it's gonna be for something on the blue core (most likely San Andreas). MTA 0.5 is outdated they're no longer working on it.
  7. Voting is probably disabled so it should randomly select them. I always thought there was something fishy about the random map selection.
  8. It looks damn awesome though.
  9. That's probably the way he did it (scroll up).
  10. server IP (your external IP that you can get on http://whatismyip.com) Also see if your friend can see your servers name in the server browser.
  11. Wow, how the hell can you fly in that view? Great job.
  12. Go to Start > Control Panel > Sound and Sounce Devices Properties > Advanced > Performance, and lower hardware acceleration.
  13. Try lowering sound acceleration to basic.
  14. I think part of the reason for that is there's too much diversity in SA. You take on way too many roles for it to feel realistic. In GTA3, you're running errands for the mob for half the game, and doing the dirty work for others for the other half. Vice City is more diverse but the atmosphere still does not change much. It is much more realistic than in SA where CJ's life changes drastically every few missions.
  15. You specifiy everything in the mtaserver.conf file, for your internal IP go to Start > Run > CMD and type ipconfig. moved to help area
  16. MTA only supports 1.0 so you can't use the second edition, but there's a downgrade patch: http://mtavc.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15151
  17. Yes, I think it was mentioned in the blog earlier.
  18. No mods installed? MTA doesn't work with other mods. And do you have version v1.0 of GTA:SA?

    MTA Problem!!!

  20. moved to help forum. You installed GTA:SA then MTA, correct? If so what exactly isn't working and what is the exact error you're getting?
  21. Try deleting your My Documents\GTA San Andreas User Filesgta_sa.set file (note you'll use your options configuration). If that doesn't work try reinstalling MTA, and if that doesn't work, GTA:SA. Also tell us your original version of GTA (1.0 or second edition?).
  22. Isn't that what they've been doing? San Andreas has drugs, prostitutes, and more vulgar language than ever before. Sure they might have taken out that pill in SA, but did you do play the mission where you burn the weed and then have to drive Truth's van impaired from the drugs? That's a much more explicit representation of drugs than the pill imo. It would be nice if you could provide some more examples for your argument so I could see where you're coming from. Also, I don't think that stuff contributes all that much to atmosphere either. Rather it's the level design, characters, and setting that shape the game's atmosphere (at least for me).
