  1. Or just try deleting gta_sa.set from your User Files before you reinstall anything. Next step would be to uninstall MTA, then GTA:SA. edit: also, make sure your nick isn't too long (try shortening it to a few characters and see if you still crash).
  2. They didn't do any damage at all, because they weren't synced. You may have seen the missile fire and hit the target, but no one else did. To them it just looked like you were shooting unguided rockets. There were occasions where the missile did hit, but that was extremely rare.

  4. Heh, it is indeed a good idea, I used to play Pro CnR for hours on end in MM2. I'm sure it would work well in MTA too, but there's lot's of other elements to consider if this is for DM, such as how the gold would be handled by players on foot.   5. You should have made a backup of the original .exe before patching. Look for it online or reinstall the game and make a backup of the .exe (but don't delete User Files). edit: you don't need the 1.01, you need your original 2.0 to play SP, so if you made a backup of it use that..

  7. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but savegames are not interchangable between different .exe versions.
  8. Of course people play it, it's the only decent online GTA mod out there (except for VC-MP, but that doesn't get enough exposure). At any given time there are 75-175 people playing 0.5. I still play GTA3 0.5 and don't have any problems. I wish people played Portland though.

  12. The problem is there will be too many maps to vote for and everyone will choose a different one. You'll have to keep re-voting until there's a match.
  13. Just download a map that uses the objects you want, look in it's .map file and see what the ID is (duplicate it in editor so it's the last object in the file, if searching is too hard).
  14. Also make sure you have the gta-sa 1.0 exe (downgrade patch here: http://mtavc.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15151).
  15. Does it happen every time you press record or just occasionally? What does it say in your core.log for the crash (C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA San Andreas\MTA\)?

    This isn't a game, it's a mod for the game. So the original rating persists, you're still playing GTA:SA and the rating is still M.

  18. You want folders with all the races on the server available to voters? Or have it choose a select few from each category?

  20. The synchronization got worse going from 1.0 to 1.1 you say? On my end it has actually improved. Maybe the people you're playing with are high-pingers?

  22. That is a nice way of thinking. Because they disabled alt-tab in the menus and lowered character length, MTA is teh sux0rz, SA-MP FTW!! Shortenening the char length was necessary because it was too long before, and they disabled alt-tab because it was causing a CRASH. Everything was done for a reason.
  23. The server randomly spawns the players in the first used spawns. So if you have a game with 6 players currently in it, they will all spawn within the first 6 spawn points in the .map file. The rest won't be used until more players join. Also one thing I noticed about respawn is that when you die, it always spawns you at the next spawnpoints, even though there are one or more available before it, so having respawn in cops and robbers might screw it up if the robber dies. About the second question, I'm sure those will be available along with most of the pickups from single player. edit: BUT, I don't know how pickups will have to be created in DM, so I don't know if just placing a pickup object like that would work.
