probably shouldn't change anything. changing the collision settings will mess stuff up though... (other players, if not for you) I suggest to not have any mods

go View -> Options -> the games tab select GTA:MTA, and hit 'browse...' find mta.exe (should be in C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA3\mta.exe) hit ok. select MTA from the bar/list on the left, and hit 'refresh' up in the toolbar (little circling arrows). fin.

that's probably a good idea, since it will allow them to make a good base for MP. Otherwise there would be many very different methods for MP

well, ASE and roger wilco are different... it's hard to compare them. ASE really IS required (so long as you don't have an IP handy). Roger wilco isn't needed to play, so some people won't use it.
