timing out/getting disconnected is a common problem

*sigh*... I almost wish warlord was here to flame ya ASE *IS* a server browser... it just isn't built into a fancy window in MTA. Only the uzi works yet 1000 health isn't a cheat. You're supposed to start with a little under that. Of course, even if people had 10 health, you probably wouldn't be able to kill them, since the guns don't work all that well anyways.

well, of course it's always fun to pile up a bunch of cars right where he drives, and get him to smash into 'em all...

MTA for VC isn't out yet... GTA3:MTA is though, but it's buggy, and hard to set up.

oh ya, if you use print screen, you have to open up Paint and paste it in there

make sure that GTA3 is named gta3.exe if it's named something else, it won't work.

ya, common error. no known fix yet... lots of different ideas, most of which involve re-installing things, but nothing I've seen that works for sure.

Alright, since I've been on these forums for so long, I figured I might as well *try* to help... not sure if this is any use (and it probably isn't, since I bet you've already noticed this), but in the VC bank-heist mission, when you leave the building, Hillary drives up, gets out, and shoots at the SWAT vans. Thought this might be useful, since it may be one less character animation you have to figure out... or however you're doing the mod now

first of all, stop with THE CAPS. muuuch better I'm not 100% certain what you're saying, so I'll give a canned answer: run C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA3\launcher.exe hit GTA:MTA GTA3 and MTA should start... if one of them doesn't, then just start it yourself go to GTA3, go 'new game', and 'start mta' (or something like that) the credits should start rolling... Alt-tab over to MTA, find your server, connect to it, and hit 'send game request'. go back to GTA3, and the game should be started.

if you don't get a different menu than usual, run C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA3\launcher.exe hit GTA3:MTA. fin.

how'd you fix it? Other people have been having this problem, and I'm sure they'd wanna know

it just adds fake doors (though you can't see 'em), so VC acts as though it's a car, not a bike, so you can't fall off

They're working on it because VC is so freakin' sweet they're fixing it. silly loendal... GTA3 and VC are very very similar, so they aren't having a huge amount of trouble making MTA: VC

the tank's gun isn't synced yet, and I'm not even sure if the tank is you can only use the uzi against people, and even then, it only works sometimes.

well, at least I know what's wrong... move mta.exe from C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA3 over to your desktop. run it, and install MTA... now it should work. you seem to have had the installer in your GTA3 folder, instead of the program (they're both named mta.exe, just to confuse people )
