they become admins of the MTA board?
-
you may have been a little clearer by saying that you can't play GTA3 SINGLE PLAYER... Install MTA, run launcher.exe, and hit GTA3: SP. You can now un-install MTA
-
The dodo actually isn't any different... if you look through the install.log (or install.txt, I forget) file, in your GTA3 directory, you can see that MTA doesn't change handling.cfg it probably just seems easier to fly, since there are all these buildings nearby that make the takeoff area seem shorter

Well, I'm thinking of getting SSS going again... it's just hard to tell what exactly SSS would do The only thing I can think of is stunt competitions... bah, if I can't think of anything, I'll just start it like a normal gang (assuming that it doesn't come back to life again)

Just trying to help promote all GTA & Vice City Multi Pl

spend enough time on IRC, and a dev might be nice enough to come by and give everyone a test version that works for a few hours -
I think it's because people keep downloading the .zip file, and think the mta.exe in there is the program, not the installer
-
hmm... that may be the problem That or Brazilian windows... I don't really know, I haven't ever used (or for that matter, seen) a non-english GTA3, or windows computer... Of course, it could be something completely different, but I'd bet on one of those. The only people I know who could help would be those with similar non-english setups, or the MTA team (unfortunately, I am not either) I advise waiting for a response from someone else who knows more about this, rather than trying to re-install GTA3 or windows though so, sry, but I can't really help
-
hmm... what language is your GTA3?
-
they must be stopped. (assuming they really did)
-
I noticed that the 'Download' link for 0.3b gives you a .zip file, with the manual AND the installer... perhaps you should add a quick dontreadme.txt, saying that MTA.EXE is indeed the installer, and not the program, since a lot of people appear to be having trouble with it. (placing the installer in their GTA3 folder, thinking it's the program, or moving it there, then installing it, meaning that no mta.exe is created).
-
and C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA3\data\mta exists?... hmm... odd... well, obviously it's looking in the wrong place for something... hmm.... Open up C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA3\INSTALL.LOG (or INSTALL.TXT... I forget which one it's called), and paste it into here.
-
well, go Start -> Control Panel -> User Accounts make sure that you're a computer administrator... also try making sure that C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA3\data\mta exists...
-
shakedown... that's the bank robbery mission, right? if it is, then I'm guessing the glitch is getting into the elevators, and then having your partner not follow you. just stand NEXT to the little circle, and wait for your partner to walk up right next to you. Then enter the circle... should work (of course, if that isn't the bank heist mission, then just ignore what I said)
-
somehow it managed to put the installer in your GTA3 directory instead of the MTA program... common problem just get rid of/move mta.exe from you C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA3\ folder, and install MTA again
-
hmmm... by any chance are you using a limited user account (on windows XP/NT)?
-
I've been wondering this for a long time, and so I'm gonna ask, even though it's off topic what do you use to find the memory addresses anyway?
-
go on IRC and send 'em to warlord, or xerox or something remember, zipped, in the format: -.zip (for you it'd be bon3101-idon'tknowwhichgangisyours.zip irc.multitheftauto.com #gta3mta more info is on the first page of this topic
-
we're sorry Term your avatar had us thinking you were a robot with no feelings excellent movie though. The part where it flashes 'walking, shooting, etc...' is pretty spiffy
-
well, I'll be able to find places that *probably* have packages... then check 'em out later in SP (of course, I could always just download a list of em, but that would be wrong, now wouldn't it? )
-
well, I know you've installed it... hmm... you might have to change the files manually. I really suggest trying something else before trying this though And before you try this: make sure you have the english version. I'm not sure how well this'll work with another language... Ready? OOOOOOOOoookay! Copy ped.mta, american.mta, and main.mta in C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA3\data\mta\ to somewhere (like a new folder on your desktop) rename the copies you just made (the ones you put into a new folder) to ped.ifp, main.scm, and american.gxt Replace the ped.ifp in C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA3\anim with the copy you made Replace the american.gxt in C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA3\TEXT with the copy you made Replace the main.scm in C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA3\data with the copy you made. that should work... run MTA (mta.exe) and GTA3 (gta3.exe) if you ever want to go back to Single Player, then do the same thing as above, except at the top, do this instead: Copy ped.sp, american.sp, and main.sp in C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA3\data\mta\ to somewhere (like a new folder on your desktop)
-
hmm... when you start GTA3 on it's own, does the 'start game' submenu say something like 'start new MTA game'? if it does say 'start new MTA game', just start MTA without the launcher. You can do this by running C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA3\mta.exe then run GTA3
-
it'll also be nice, since I can scout out the map for jumps or hidden package possible locations in SP
