the little chat window at the bottom (of the mta client, right near the connect button) but no one ever reads what you type, unless you send it to people in-game... if you type /in blablablablabla people will see blablablablabla in their game... but typing blablablablabla means people will only see it in their mta client

ASE is All Seeing Eye. It's a server browser. If you have no clue what that is, read on... A server browser allows you to see information about a server before you join it, such as # of players, game type, map, etc. If we didn't use a server browser, then you'd have to get IPs (like 255.156.62.267). You wouldn't know a thing about the game you're joining.

well, it would be able to run the movies without a sound card, and it would give you a 'missing file' error if you were missing a sound file... Try going Control panel -> System -> Hardware (tab) -> device manager check to make sure that windows is detecting it properly, and that there are no errors...

you're running the dedicated server by mistake... run C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA3\mta.exe (the client) put the IP and port 2003 in there...

okay then... hit ctrl-alt-del, go to the performance tab. under "physical memory", check what the number is. if it's less than 6 digits, go to the processes tab. look through the processes, under 'mem usage'. Look for something that's consuming a lot of memory...

wait a tic... how does one turn off trails? is it part of the 1.1 patch or something? oh ya... that reminds me... what IS in the 1.1 patch?

it's not a video file... it's a file that tells VC exactly where everything is at every moment you won't be able to view it with a video player

hmm... never heard of packages dissapearing from cheats... and btw, this should be in General, since, while it has something to do with VC, it doesn't have anything to do with multiplayer

your vid card has nothing to do with it... what OS are you running? and how much RAM do you have in your computer? (you should be able to find out in Control Panel -> System)

hit ctrl-alt-del and close all unnessecary (f*ck spelling) programs. now try it... oh ya, and give us your system specs too

looks like player 1 got disconnected. not sure how to fix it... I MAY have seen something about it, but I don't remember if there was a fix
