not for VC... that was GTAT.

*sigh*... really... you just have to search for 10057. no one's really sure why it happens. are you running a firewall/router? could be that. I believe 10057 has something to do with a socket not being connected. sockets are things made to connect 2 programs... usually over the internet, but they can be used just on a normal computer, not connected to a LAN/the internet. I believe the error is going to be fixed in 0.35.

why do that? leave it high and you can go in slow-mo against the SWAT team

what version would you be trying to install? It looks as though you've got 0.2 by mistake you're supposed to install it with a fancy-pancy installer, in C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA3

hmm... it should be in there somewhere... did it give you any errors? and remember that you have to start up GTA3, and hit 'new game'... that's where the submenu is that should say 'start new MTA game'... just try starting a new game even if it doesn't say anything different. If the credits pop up, it's just a weird bug that means it won't change the menu... oh ya... and tell us your version of windows.

Yes, you have to have GTA3 running when you run MTA but first, if you can't get to the credits: open GTA3, hit 'new game'. it should say 'start new mta game' (or something with MTA in it). If it says 'start new game'... run C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTA3\launcher.exe hit GTA3:MTA when GTA3 opens (if it doesn't load open it yourself, and if an error pops up, put it in this thread), hit 'start game', 'start new mta game' the credits should roll, and you've got to the point you needed to get to

Alright... um.. well, um.. where to start... MTA has been around for a while now... it's getting more and more popular, which is really cool... even though I'm not a mod yet... I've been on the forums for... let's see... 4 months now, and a lot's changed... mr. bill hit 1000, iggy hit 1000 but didn't have to do a speech... lucky ba--..., and keva's avatar was just cool. but I digress. New competition sprung up, with GOE, GTAT, and YAMM... all but GTAT and MTA dissapeared (well, YAMM and MTA joined together, so really only GOE dissapeared). But I digress. MTA has had problems with regulars dissapearing, whining, flamers (except for you warlord. you're a good flamer ), and too many "MTA suckzorz, thiszorz modzorz r00lzorz!" posts to count. (actually, I think it was something like 20, but I digress). yet the forums have managed to stay well-kempt and fun, and the mod has managed to surpass all the others. All thanks to a little bit of code that R* forgot to take out (even though the other mods use it too... I guess). Okay, this is all gibberish. frack... alright, quick and dirty: MTA rules, the MTA team is the coolest, and the forum kicks. BLAST V2 is celebrating 50 pages... check 'em out. and don't forget to go over here and hug your monitor here's to another 5 months for the forum, a good release of MTA, the MTA team, and everyone on the forum who's cool
