interesting, what i'd like to here is a viewpointfrom a minority who plays the game ...
to my knowledge, headphonez has never made a comment about the game being racist.

this is how you should set it up
pc1 run cmd... run ipconfig tell person on pc2 your ip
pc1 run server
pc1 run client connect to 127.0.0.1
pc2 run client connect to pc1's ip..
p1 and pc2 press start game
play
yes, the server will have an option to run VC or GTA3, and when you connect the client will configure itself accordingly.
as for gamemodes, we have some in progress, but i can not mention those at this time.

we are working hard and if you lookat just a few news posts ago you'd see that...
we haven't updated any counters because a lot of what we are doing now is exerimental, meaning we don't want to promise it until we test it...
And last time I checked there were still people playing hte mod
have fun w/ it, let us work..
btw. the next release will be supporting GTA3 as well (if all goes ok)

MTA does not change or delete any vice city files, it is completely transparent to any VC related files on your Harddrive.. MTA could not have caused it to stop working.
Try reinstalling
we couldn't tell you but banning kicking etc. is completely at the server administrator's discretion, just find another server... there are tons of them.

modifying the executable could change the addresses that data is stored in... and, if the address isn't where we assume it to be, the client can't find out where your car is, or control other cars, move peds, make them shoot things like that....

I wouldn't count on this anytime soon guys....
Vice City wasn't designed to be modded like that, as such it doesn't alllow you to store maps seperately, all thsoe cars maps textures etc. get thrown into huge files... what that means... is that any server configured mod would require the clients to automate injecting/removing new and old map mods, really not as easy as you'd think, let alone time consuming for the player to have to wait for the map to be injected into the .dff and txd files.

sounds like connection problems to me..
I'd venture to say you are behind a router or firewall.. try forwarding ports for those.
no, MTA 0.2.2 crashes less

don't wait around for it.. probably not going to happen
1. LAG yes it takes bandwith to sync players... and pedestrians are no different.
2. Memory issues, VC was designed as Single player only, as such you notice that peds are only generated around the players... there is a limit to the number of pedestrians the engine can display... and we push that limit w/ just 32 players..
3. Gameplay... We feel that once we get some good gamemodes implemented.. that people honestly wont care about peds.
*edit* try it again pusher and you get banned
