What region is your game? If you ahve 1.01 and the patcher does not work, you can always reinstall anyway -

How do you know english then? lol okay smart ass, i learnt English after learning Lua. i have a Lua -> english translater which is how i learnt.
-
Yeah, Lua has been the first language ive ever learnt and i have become really fluent in it. As Oli said its a really "typed" language. When you read the code it almost sounds like a sentence (at least i find it does).

No it is not released. The DM release will come with a new client, new client dlls (ones that go into GTA's directory) and a "deathmatch" package alongside a new "map editor", if that answers your question. Users of race will need to install it as it is a whole update to MTASA.
-
HOLY CRAPS DELETE HIS POST HE KNOWS!!!!
-
CoZ you're forgetting that it'll be some sort of hardocded system built staright into MTASA if it is done. So the first and second problems no longer apply. But there are still problems remaining.

suggestions on future map editor for dm
darkdreamingdan replied to -]alw[-deftones's topic in Suggestions
how do you mean? Would it have the same affect as aiming at the object, then moving back(only across the correct axes)? -
This is known, and is very difficult to fix. Its related to how GTA creates its world, and how MTA creates its objects. There are 2 distinct systems, and it is very difficult to get the way GTA creates its objects working in MTA.
-
Im not sure what the status is, but the plan is (at some point) that users will be able to login to their MTA account while ingame, and vote the map while they're playing it. This is probably the best method but needs a bit work to be implemented.

Deoxyribonucleic acid! -
i think those issues have been resolved in DM already, paul. I'll have a look for you though
-
Its hard to say right now, but at some point Race will definately be moved to the deathmatch client, which also brings features of DM into race, such as better sync, improved GUI (including ingame control changing) etc

It seems Silentlink is floating on the right boat

I use this tool all the time to search for objects, as you can search using the GTA object names

suggestions on future map editor for dm
darkdreamingdan replied to -]alw[-deftones's topic in Suggestions
Undo is something that can be looked into. As for collisions it would most likely require someone to go through objects and label them by hand....any volunteers are welcome . As for changing rotations units - if you feel so strongly about it, it can be changed, its just its remained like this for a long time and MTA is already deep in development. It suprises me though that you've never come across radians units before. -
Note synced objects is unlikely to appear in R2, though may appear in r2.x

These are obviously some decent well thought out suggestions, so im going to try and comment as much as possible on them Not sure at this stage, though unlikely. Wireframe is something that IJs has looked in to but is unlikely to be implemented due to its difficulty. Rotations will remain in Radians by the looks of things. I dont feel this is a major issue, it is not difficult to convert to and from radians. Possible, could be added if time allows. It would require saving groups of objects as well as implementation to select multiple objects, plus manipulate them. Is this the case for GTA's internal objects? You have to bear in mind objects are streamed so that the object limit can be higher. Possible, but not sure how easy it is at this stage. This was a mistake on behalf of the QA. Night objects have now been documented and it is likely that this issue will be resolved This is a good idea, and i feel it should be implemented. Should not be very difficult either. This is difficult as selections rely on GTA's collision system to select things. If the "Namings" suggestion were implemented, do you think it would suffice? -
Im still running a mx440 as we speak

lil_toady has provided us with an upload system we will use from now on. Please stop using pastebin and start using this, it should be faster than pastebin and easier for us to manage. I have received and successfully converted the following maps: Radioactive by Hedning Cluckin' Bell vs Burgershot by Sprinter LV Motel Massacre by major underscore Los Pistoleros by major underscore Mad Dogs House by AdnanKananda Action by Laggy All these maps mentioned above will not need to be uploaded to the new host. A map from Azu has not been done because the syntax is not up to date. For mappers looking to upload newer maps, please check the first post

Could i request mappers that use interiors to make it clear which objects are interiors and which arent, so we can remove the interior objects easilly (as we use GTA's interior system)
