  1. Yes, a lot of maps have problems. I think the wrong ones were packaged for the release. Hopefully these will be updated soon.

    MSVCR71.dll

Strange that some people are getting this error. Anyway, download this and put it in your System32 folder: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-f ... ml?msvcr71
  3. This was deliberate because unlike, MTA 0.5 which runs as a separate program, MTA:SA runs as a DLL injected in the game. When you minimise / alt+tab, the game pauses automatically, as does MTA:SA. This means that when you maximise again, you get hit with a lot of packets at once, which at the very best causes strange results and the worst causes a crash. Believe me, the QA team brought up every little thing possible. Some were postponed for a later release though.
  4. No, there's currently no interpolation and I'm sure there's room for optimisation in a few places.
  5. If the FPS lock wasn't in place, your friend with the faster PC could beat you easily because his vehicle would travel faster in relation to yours.
  6. Yeah, a lot of pages on the site are having problems. I'm sure they'll be ok once the large amount of traffic hitting the site subsides.
  7. It can be either, just like you can types either "races" or "maps" to display a list of maps on the server.
  8. I think votes from players that are still alive should contribute more to the overall total than votes from players that are dead. I also think voting from dead players should be restricted. eAi's idea is good, except sometimes a majority of people will want to skip the current race because they don't like it.
  9. Why wait for days or weeks and then spend time downloading a large video file when you could spend a few seconds downloading the mod and be trying it for yourself? I really don't see the logic. Yeah, it doesn't overwrite any files.
  10. Nope, it's vote map ______.
  11. people should have the common sense to change it anyways I didn't at first
  12. Version 2.0 has protection against modification so it's very difficult (if it's even possible) to get MTA:SA working with it. Why did Rockstar resort to this? They removed the Hot Coffee code in v1.01.
  13. It's something that wasn't added to MTA:SA. I'm sure it'll be added in a later release.
  14. Nope, you can't play with modded vehicles.
  15. Change your nickname. It occurs when you try to connect to a server that contains a player with the same nick as you. It's likely that you didn't change it from the default "Player". This is a bug that will be fixed in the next release.
  16. It has a built-in server browser.
  17. But i can see the Server at game-monitor.com See the topic in the MTA:SA support section.
  18. what you mean? I mean that we're not just sitting here waiting for the counter to reach 0 as you thought we were.
  19. Actually, as you speak, we are sorting out the documentation.
  20. If you do, put it on the Wiki
  21. The order of priority is SA > VC > GTA3, although that may change if a new GTA is released for PC (not sure what would happen then).
  22. Bandwidth isn't the only issue. Some races will be clustered with lots of players at the beginning if the race creator decided to put too many spawns in one place.
  23. Yes, players will need a way of easily searching for maps. It'd also be nice to be able to rate them so that people can see at once which maps are considered to be the best. Server admins also need a way of downloading map files in bulk. They won't want to download them one at a time.
  24. To stop people asking when the client will be released. The release of the server will only make increase the hype.
