  1. There really needs to be some sort of Net chat/forum training class in schools...
  2. One idea: get a gamepad, or make a serial device and use an appropriate plugin with Winamp or such... control it that way while ingame. I know it isn't what you want - but at least you could somewhat choose different music then, after switching radio off... it also continues to play after ou enter/exit vehicles, so it isn't the best idea, ... I am guessing this has been on your mind or tried by now, though.

    mIRC ingame?

I concur. If single-player mode was much different and diverse, I could see the point... but nothing is THAT random, just static mission after static mission. Multiplayer, you are already talking to everyone else.. why talk to more people?

Nobody deserves respect except for me? Well, you said it, why thank you. Now move along, peon, your breathing is staining my clothes. If you just "browse," then why must you hit "reply" after my posts, or in regards to my posts? All you do is nitpick rather than help. I have my way of doing things, thats just the way I am. Just becuase I dont do something to conform to your style doesn't mean I am an asshole to everyone. You got it right, I am an "asshole to people" - but only a select few. You've joined the list, congratuations. Now please, stop following me and starting flames, at least for the moderators sake. I am sure they have better things to do than to close threads you start flames in.

I have a life, thank you. Why is it you follow me from thread to thread, 'eh? If you have a problem with the way I speak or the way I am, dont listen to me or interact with me, fucker. Simple solution, no?
  6. F10 fix is not an official announced fix to MTA, by the MTA team. It is a thid party program that is (I am guessing) not backed or warranted in any degree by the MTA team. It is used to gain an unfair advantage - pressing F10 automatically and restarting automatically may be small, but they're still automated and not a part of the original game or any released MTA fix - and can easily be considered a cheat. I never said I didn't back it - hell, I want to even help the person with ideas / code for the thing. But do I still think it is a cheat? Sure I do. Not everyone has it or requires it, and it helps you - so it can be considered a cheat. Like I said above, not all cheats require you to have any clear in-game related advantage. Not everyone can be aware of this program as it was not officially included or announced by the MTA team, so in its state it is a cheat as it modifies the way MTA works. If the MTA team were to declare it is not a cheat on their website, and perhaps even provide a download link or mirror it themselves, and was demonstrated to be an optional tool that is legal for use, then it wouldn't be considered a cheat. But, as of now, it can probably be classified as one. Make any sense? I think the developers might understand where I am coming from... About the post regarding Windows: Windows is an assumed constant amongst players, and it doesn't "restart itself" unless you expressedly tell it to (either through some form of automation, third party program, or selecting Shut Down manually). Since most, if not all MTA users run Windows (heh... i'd like to see it run in Wine ), it is not considered a cheat since everyone has that (dis)advantage. Even if half the users were Wine'ing it or running under a different platform in which GTA:VC was compiled, it would not be considered a cheat so long as MTA was provided for those platforms. Since MTA would be distributed and probably be cross-playable on these platforms, and unless stated otherwise, it would probably be assumed that operating system choice is not a cheat.
  7. That one less thing to do is an advantage nobody has. Getting back in the game immediately, as well as turning on names right away are automated procedures that are not a part of the game. If it is a "mod," not everyone has that this unofficial "mod" and people playing with this "mod" are playing against people who dont even know about this "mod." I am sorry, something that messes with a window and hits a button is not a mod. Like I told you, this is a cheat. Hack. Program that causes unfairness. However little it may seem, it is one. Just becuase it isn't something on a large scale, doesn't make it any more "fair" and any less of a cheat. I doubt you'll even read this - just look at your image in your profile. "In one ear, and out the other..." I dont want to try to understand your logic.
  8. I have had that error with WM radio feeds within Windows Media Shredder the few times I have had to use it... nothing else, though. Dont know what to tell you. Maybe be a bit more specific, if possible?
  9. People who use the F10 program cheat. It may not be that glorious of a cheat, it may not give you all the best guns, invunerability and better sex, but nevertheless it is an external program modifying the way MTA was meant to be played - and therefore technically classified as a cheat. You may have your own definition, but you probably have your own dictionary as well. And I know I dont want to read it.
  10. I never said the word "1337" anywhere within my post. Nor am I judging anyone. It can be almost proven fact that those who use sofware, such as NAV, are ignorant to not only its use but to alternatives. For example, among the corporate AV utilities out there, NAV is the one that uses the most resources whilst providing the least detection via comparatively low detection rates. Now you see what "judge" is, when you figure most people who run NAV are - and some will even admit - thinking they are thoroughly protected. Not all antivirus solutions are free. One that I use has a free version, not some "$200 software that wipes my ass," which, up until recently, was the same exact thing as the paid version. Check out http://www.grisoft.com for an example. AVG isn't the only one out there, there are plenty more and all they cost is the time to download. Not everything comes with a monetary price in this world, y'know? Or no? I do have respect for people, but I dont just give people respect for no reason. I respect that people are human and sometimes don't know, and true I might be a bit verbose and blunt with my statements, but hey - thats just the way I am. Get used to it, and stop crying. And I think I am better than anyone? Where did you get off saying that? I never once stated or even hinted as such a thing, there is no need to insinuate. I dont think I am any better than this person. For instance - I just think that the original poster is another uneducated consumer who buys what everyone else buys, uses what everyone else uses, etc. - but that was a guess on my part, I may be wrong. Unless you have your twisted logic filter on, it doesn't hint in any way that I am any better - just that the person themselves is uneducated. Not once did I mention myself as a comparison to the poster. I never said one word about you using AOL. Consider yourself owned.
  11. I am willing to help you, hell, even help code little features in the thing should you wish for help (or, more appropriately, should users wish for help )... look at my rig, its definately good for gaming, but that shouldn't be the primary aim - not everyone has a machine like mine (but then again, some people have better than what I have). This looks like VB work, if I am not mistaken? I smell a RAT...
  12. I attempt cheating. Sue me. But I only do it locally or with friends. I haven't had time to mess with v0.2, and I probably wont with my work schedule. But, should I find any big vunerabilties the first people to know would be the MTA team. Gadfly cheats... he wrote an Auto-F10 presser. Should he burn in hell for releasing it to the public? ...*sigh*, people dont think before they speak anymore...
  13. This is a notebook - LCDs often boast higher resolutions over their CRT counterparts. Besides, it is not set in stone that any monitor around or below 15" has a maximum resolution onf 1024x768. My old one was 1280x1024, and I use a 9" ATM CRT at work that does 1024x768x75hz
  14. Why in the hell are you using such a poor piece of software to begin with? Threads like this are sad... not everyone runs Norton AV trash, not everyone is computer illiterate and just lives with how their system is, just because it seems to work.... By the way, get a real AV solution, Windowslover. Then you wont have issues like this anymore. An' no, McAfee ain't the answer.
  15. Yes, I read that and understood that... which is why I asked if you could before re-releasing Hopefully next version will have this stuff taken care of though. Let me ask you - pressing F10 right when launching the executable (say, during loading screen) will enable nametags, or no? Maybe I will have to figure it out myself... I am just about making my own solutions - though the idea of checking the process to see if it has that unhandled exception window is a good idea, should you not mind me borrowing it Or, I can be lazy and use what you produce For the record, I use my numpad for helecopter flying - up and down are "f" and "v" respectively, whereas turning and some of my MTA-specific binds are located on the numpad. I know, weird.....
  16. Pedophiles and robots, 'eh. Count my boss in... he's approaching Level III.
  17. Verified virus-free. Haven't tested it yet, but could you make a bindable key system, or key selection? Those keys interfere with some of my controls for the enable/disable. Looks good.
  18. Well, look at my profile - 600mhz faster, with 66mhz higher on the FSB. This thing is just as fast as a P4/3.0ghz, when stock it is as fast as 2.2ghz P4 (minus SSE2, of course). Just for a bit of comparison
  19. Oh, I know plenty-o-people who did that, and even still use the mousewheel as their jump. Its kinda crappy using mwheelup as secondary fire though, for anything that needs held down (such as gauss gun in hl) I use q - and I am still pretty good with movement while using it, actually my AIM ends up suffering rather than my movement... some weird mind thing... Most people I talk to use standard controls, though. S as down... I can't play like that! And I have small hands... Takes roots with my SNES emulation, I guess... waxd = xyba, before I got a gamepad, anyway And I be rockin a Logitech MX700, soon an MX500 for a secondary mouse instead of this Intellimouse Explorer 3.0... I hate the MS trash mouse... A good mouse makes all the difference, I bought mine right when it came out. $80 retail... worth every penny, I would pay the same amount today even though they're cheaper now. Excellent response, 8 buttons (still only use 5..).. And regarding 5 buttons, I cant play any FPS with a 3 button mouse, sorry... and those that dont support it, gotta map mouse4 and mouse5 I hate my keyboard too, but my other one broke on me too much soda spills... got the high-end model MS keyboard, the one right before the crap on the side was added on, has the USB hub... its a pile of trash, though. Regardless I modded it, so now the bright blue status LEDs keep me awake at night
  20. Well as a specific example I was told "i just got an asus a78x or something" and "it has the nforce bios", which obviously show lack of knowledge for the hardware, so I figure making things as simple as possible while overexplaining was probably the best method. This doesn't even cover how to properly overclock for FSB, by actual increments... but hey, you can only do so much writing after so many hours awake Besides, same clockspeed with 66mhz higher (133ddr) FSB on an Athlon, you can really feel it...
  21. Guess OC'ing isn't for you I wrote this also for the reason that if people ask, I can just direct them here - type it once and its done!
