  1. Dont say things like that! I dont want to know until it is out!! Now you have me wanting the thing... It is a patch for 0.2, to fix crashes. It will also add this functionality it seems... Quick Question: I am guessing there are two server modes then - stunt and normal?

    Linux Server

Make sure the file has proper permissions and ownership? I need more information to help you with your problem, I haven't yet set up a server on Linux as I only play it at home and lanning, and lanning = the people dont run linux
  3. Oh, I press that key a number of times - say, after a crash, each time I start a new game, when opening up my application menu (shift+F10 in Winblows), ...
  4. I think I will try that with my rig By the way, FSB is higher, under test right now! 202 baby! (404 to you non-technical people, which means UBER FAST ATHLON SYSTEM) Edit: turned it off, WOW! I dont know why I have been running with it on all this time! Looks excellent with framelimiter off..
  5. Can you press F10 anytime after the executable starts, or only after you have gone to Start Game? I would guess only the latter, but i dont know. If it was the former, it wouldn't be hard at all to write a piece of code to enable this automatically, until/if changed in the next version of MTA... for the latter, you'd have to do some tricky timers or something or... write a program that routes traffic, and as soon as it sees a significant amount of send traffic, hit F10 It always confuses me... your F10 is my F9

    Radar Colors

I too only have yellow and maroon coloring. I will get the v1.0 no-cd tonight, or try the original executable (I do remember to backup before I replace/crack.. ) and see if colors appear.
  7. Trust me... the rabbit hole goes alot deeper than that... try 128MB memory. Nothing else matters then. Your computer will suck no matter what. I run an old gamer with 32mb RAM, thats plenty enough for what it does Running XP on a newer machine, though, that may be an issue. Try Gentoo... my friends box has about 15mb ram in use at boot, so hey, wanna talk about some efficient memory management?
  8. Looks better with centered text. Try also using a sans serif font, not a serif one like you used (basically, none of the fancy-ended fonts, just plain looking ones) - it'd probably fit in a littel bit better. And a bit smaller text size Otherwise, truly looks kickass. Props to you.
  9. No-one likes me either, but hey I haven't even tried anything but MTA:VC because of how bad I heard the GTA3:MTA was... so hey, hurry up and port it! Its been a while since I was in GTA3... (no wait, actually, I was there a couplea days ago - felt really weird, like the handling on the cars was harder, the doors slam quicker, and ... no bikes!! ...)
  10. Fix the font - make it smaller and correctly proportioned.
  11. 80x25. No, really, dont worry about the resolution. Keep it there, but bump up AA and AF (within your driver settings). You'll notice much higher quality than what you have right now - non-jagged edges, sharper looking images, etc.
  12. Yeah, its pretty easy to play on 56k There are also a few bugs where its easy to hit people but they can't hit you back, ie. around edges, places at the Mexican spawn, etc...
  13. Looks like a DirectX issue. Try installing DirectX 9, or reinstalling if you already have it installed. Also, try updating your video drivers if you haven't done that in a while.
  14. Well if you're so good at hacking, as you are in English....WE all have nothing to worry about from you!
  15. Prescott will have "HTT Marketing Technology," as thats all it really is - a marketing ploy. And its not "manufacturers including it," it is something completely new AMD has introduced. Normally it follows Intel and plays it safe, but now they're betting the company on this... and its a really good idea. It has its drawbacks, but its advantages well outweigh them.

    :(((((

Try this: patience. It takes a few seconds for the ping to normalize for me after a connection. Be patient, wait 15 seconds instead of waiting .5.
  17. Often after a break heals it will be just a strong / stronger than it was before, though sometimes movement and usability can be restricted, especially when the break as at a joint. I dont really know for a kneecap. I haven't broken anything, so..
  18. Dont play with yourself too much now there see...
  19. I used to run a 650AMD, 2x6gb HD, 256mb sdr, tnt2m64 not too long ago... and my work box is a dual p3/500 I have computers all over the place, just becuase they're ancient doesn't take away from their usefulness. When I want to play old games for example I have a P/120 waiting for me. Also have two or three 233's doing some work for me. I used to have 5 486's networked but no need for those anymore. Misc parts everywhere, never know when I might need to use them, even though I always buy replacements even if one of those is available. Its not lack of trust in the equipment, its lack of usefulness for 1980's hardware. I dont know... And processors aren't hard to keep up on - 'cept you need to learn new geeky acronyms such as PNI, HT, DCDDR, MS, ....MS, QBM, SATA, GODIE and other nice things.

    Stolen case

Someone stole a case that I was working on only days before it was done. It had an AMD logo on the side, didn't have the lighting installed or the processor in, but had everything else installed. Ripped off within a 20 minute time period. In this town I can expect never to see it back. So I made another one. It is almost done, too. ....
  21. The memory controller has nothing to do with 64-bitness. Most people dont even realize that its not the 64bit that makes the processor powerful for todays applicatoins, it is the extra registers you get while in 64bit mode. Those registers are vital, and they alone can improve performance of many applications... of course, a program has to be compiled to make use of those registers, and why not just add 64bitness in for a bit of fun, 'eh? So you get 2 things for 1, effectively... Prescott (the next P4...) will have 64bit extensions - it seems its only option is AMD64. This is Microsoft's push, not Intel's initiative. Also, if I got a decent performing system (say something OCable to 3200+ with DualDDR), it would only cost me $200 - $250 with the heatsink and fan. Thats already over $100 less than what you can get as "decent." You understand my Duron info?
  22. Being $-200 isn't a good time for even $30 to be spent. Again I will consider it after I get caught up. My girlfriend should be moving from almost 5000 miles away in only a few months, and I am in the hole money wise... it'll be a bit tight for a while. I wish my job payed humanly wages

    just a suggestion

Perhaps having a toggle, with identifiers on the map page linked to a list of names... ie. there are a bunch of numbers and/or letters signifying where a player is, and hitting whatever your show player button is (for me it is TAB) shows the normal stats, plus the player number... I dont know, just a way of implementation Sounds good, because wheenver I ask, people say "...what?" - so then I need to go in dpeth and say "hey xxx, where in the h..city are you?"
