People can't read around here. People can't write well enough to have their shit read even if they could read. So, of course, mistakes WILL be made...

It seems too much work for a game played by so few, shared with an incoherent community base. Besides, you'd get owned with those goofy controllers... As to hindering PC development, I highly doubt that. Take a look at PC vs Console games where the PC version is out first... it takes more than one console to hit a successful PC title's sales. Take CS for example... one of the crappiest, most stale games in existance is still being sold and has thousands of players online. Xbox? You can almost count them on your hands. Sure, this isn't always the case, but today it seems to be the general rule... just because a console has something doesn't mean a PC development will get abandoned. Look at GTA! Didn't that come out on PS2 first? Now nobody could care, they can have it on their PC, ...

I had this problem too as I use "c" for camera (almost all of my games have custom controls... partially because I dont use wasd, I use waxd, and use "s" for select/use), and didn't know... everyone was just saying "hit home!" - one time I was in a car, got out and accidentially hit my camera, and went back in as passenger - thats how I learned. So check your control config, and use your camera key... you'll know you've got it when you hear a GTA menu scroll noise.

I mod my opticals other colors, infrared is nice, people never know if its on or not

What type of piano? I would love a keyboard, or ... no, I wont go off topic I have no preference.

Your refusal is your loss. Then again, if you saw my notebooks you'd be in shock... sure, its got a touchpad, along with tons of wireless wardriving gizmos Why play MTA when you can break WEP? Its like a box of chocolates...

Dont go in a server like that. Easy. Everyone has their preferences, so realize they're not always your own. I personally find it quite boring to always have to work to play... I dont think of not shooting someone on first sight an RPG but I feel such gameplay would be a little more relaxed and I would enjoy it.

Mine says "unsupported browser." Funny thing is, Firebird is superior to all of those browsers. Hmm. Time to fake headers...

Sounds good to me... I run Gentoo, and may run an MTA server on it soon. The last thing I need, even though on a linux distro, is compatibility issues due to linking. As the original poster stated, Redhat is probably the worst choice for ANYTHING nowadays - its dated and almost proprietary. I personally have acess to and help administrate a Redhat server, so I know what the poster is talking about - Redhat truly is horrible when it comes to following standards. They seem to have set their own standards, a la MS.. I hope when I try the MTA server, it doesn't die as it is on the posters' FreeBSD.

You get kicked? (haven't played it) Sounds like a load of FUD to me. I know I wouldn't want to play at any server where I got kicked just becuase I died. Perhaps a long wait period... ghosting, or implementing a spectator system

Why does it matter if its phpBB? you can download it and set it up yourself, y'know.

Anyone have a highquality clip of this? mine isn't too great

Hell froze over. I saw it on CNN.

Probably what I always do. Just because I have 7 days to live doesn't make me the richest man in the world with the most opportune circumstances... it means I am going to die. I would hope that I could see my girlfriend during that time though, or at least hear from her... she is lucky to write a couple times a week SM Chaoswolf: good for you your loss is potentially someone elses gain..

The old MTA:VC had this "error" per se, since I don't play GTA3:MTA (I will as soon as the new client for it is out), maybe the GTA3 client has that problem as well.

I have a concern regarding locking threads on the MTA Forums. I know I do not have any control here, which is why I am throwing this out as an open, public statement (and as such, if any people agree or disagree with certain points, let me know as to in/exclude them). This is not by any means a demand, although I - as well as many other forumers - would appreciate the respect to be heard. During my use of the MTA Forums I have noticed that moderators seem to lock many threads as soon as they are answered or if they have no direct relevence to the forum (instead of moving / making a statement). I understand when locking threads can be necessary, such as in flame wars and the like, but the amount that it occurs on the MTA Forums is staggering, to say the least. I have, over the course of my use of MTA Forums, noticed some threads that were locked because admins gave the answers. Giving the answer is okay, but is there any need to lock the thread afterwards? Doing so prohibits replies or afterthought from a non-moderator, and can actually increase the amount of new threads by stopping opportunity to reply (and, of course, the direct result is spawning more useless threads). I believe the current tactic of "lock and let die" is actually creating more confusion and chaos of repeated threads than not locking them would. I believe handling of threads that ask questions and give general information should not, in general, include locking. Perhaps a feasable solution would be a statement by a moderator or user, maybe the posters question answered, but definately not closing it. It is the primary detriment on this forum that I have noticed as long as I have been here. I hope you understand my views and can take them into consideration for the good of the forums. Thank you for reading, True

Try it, dont ask us. If you haven't looked around at the other threads saying this or something similar...well, you should, and be afraid. *waits to see powerhungry mods lock threads..*

seen it long ago...have it saved and shoved somewhere...

Very well could be. I use a Logitech MX700, M$ drivers, without issue. I dont use the extra buttons...

I had this problem as well, but forgot the solution I found. Sorry...

Done with Adventure Fun game...

NS owns all!! I play all the time I wish the JPs flew like they did in 1.04... *sigh* About Tron, I got the patch, but never see any servers. Dont know whats up with it. Adventure: I first played this when I was 12 or 13... so say 5 or 6 years ago. That game is the scariest game I have ever played. Gonna emulate it now...

Are the rules to this utility hardcoded or is there a ruleset that it follows? If so, and if I bother taking a look at the server a bit, I think I may create something along the lines of this, unless the original tool opens up/is open... having an extremely open, configurable rule setup, for custom rules and tweaks, would probably be better than something that says "Caps allowed? NO", as evidently coding errors (looking at lines like LOL and being booted) I believe a private message function should be added, maybe with nick autocomplete , which would make WARNINGS very feasable before actually KICKING. Not everyone wants to be warned at once, for instance...

Funny how someone selling something HE made, without HIS screenshots, treats potential customers in such a way. Hm? Someone should buy his "work," turn it into eBay... you'll get your money back (at least as eBay or PayPal credit) if you know how to work your words, trust me According to the EULA, if he sells the ZIP version, he is scot free - no EULA is provided in the ZIP version and as such it can be construed as Public Domain. However, if he distributes the .EXE installer with the accompanied installation EULA, there is this clause: "You may distribute this software on on-line services, bulletin boards, or other electronic media provided that it is not modified and the original package remains intact with all accompanying files included, and provided that no fee is charged. This software may not be distributed on cd-rom, dvd-rom, disk, or other physical media for a fee without the permission of the author, which is the MTA Team." As such, it is illegal to him to profit not only from internet distribution, but also from physical media distribution. Unless he has received permission from the authors/maintainers of MTA ("MTA Team") he cannot legally do this, and MTA could receive some compensation... if this kid has even $4 from his sale to pay it By the way, both of you could take some English and typing lessons - probably the seller more, as that is most likely his native language Most of the convo consists of "shut up" and "fuck you" - if he wants you to shut up, why doesn't he just block you?

Ahahahaha... deep in it now. Good eyes, KungFuGrip.
