Your configuration file (mtaserver.conf) must either be in the wrong directory, or it is modified/empty. Make sure the configuration file is in the same directory as MTAServer, as well as the banned.lst file (this is not necessary). Then, make sure they are not empty or modified, and all settings are correct. At last, check out the permissions. You must set the read permissions.

Download Putty (the free SSH client), go to http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/ to download it. Open putty.exe, and fill in your IP/hostname. Log in, and fill in your username and password, then go to the directory where the MTAServer file is. Then type: ./MTAServer to run it. If it won't make connection, try to set this: Go to the SSH tab and select SSH Protocol: 2 Only, it should work..

If you don't know it.. don't post please, cause you're posting useless posts then.. anyways, could be because of the australian retail version, VC and MTA won't work in Windows 2003 Server or a cd-crack.. please use the search button (on the forum) above to find more info, and take a look at the faq and the manual as well before posting

Could be because of a wrong path (try to run MTAClient.exe with the -resetgamepath parameter), a cd-crack, or the Australian retail version
