If you struggle this much with your FPS, maybe your hardware just sucks.. (what are your specs?) If it were me, I'd either just buy a better computer that can actually handle a game that's by now half a decade old, or you could try FLOORING anything you can reach in the settings, making sure your PC isn't running background stuff that saps your "power" (Vista and/or malware, mostly..) as a last measure you can try starting MTA, opening task manager and setting your process priority higher.

I... fixed it without any real thought, I guess. The mistake was a fairly obvious one, though, most people should be able to spot that and correct it.

If it matters, I managed to pull it off, so I think it's more likely something wrong with Jason's model rather than the steps.

It doesn't exactly surprise me that the two of you try to defend eachother, but you can't really deny that going "OMFGZOMFGHELPMENOW!111!!1" while not even bothering to TRY isn't really the best way to encourage people to help you. I'm just mentioning this, because there aren't all that many people who take the time to help people unless they prove they're worth it. Not being able or willing to try anything for yourself doesn't really put you in that "worth it"-category. This isn't meant as a bitching post, it's just pure information and a friendly warning. You've already managed to flame at least a couple or three people who were encouraging you to try to think a little bit for yourself, and that's not really getting you anywhere. There are only so many people here who are both capable of, and willing to provide help, so the more people you alienate, the less likely you are to get help later. This FYI.

It has happened, (ok, not a map, but a script,) I didn't like it, and I also don't like it when tons of people use MTA for creating maps for an inferior mod every day. I have to admit, I have nothing approaching respect for SA-MP and it's fairly obvious that most people over there reciprocate that feeling. I wouldn't normally "steal" other people's work. (Which I haven't done here either.) In this case it's something they've already released (all I did was convert it so it works with a real mod,) I have made no claims that I'm the original creator, and I really have absolutely no qualms about it whatsoever. No. Txd functions load a file located in the resource, so you send it to them like any other resource file. And I think you could do a bit better as far as searching goes - my 4 days old topic on this matter isn't even off the first page in this subforum yet. varez posted a pretty comprehensive answer in it too.

To be honest, I don't care quite enough to spend significant amounts of time tracking this issue down. If anybody can figure out the problem, I'd appreciate it if you'd let me know, that way I can correct my converter, have a go again and post the corrected version.

I don't think either mods uses radians - the rotations are different, but it's just clockwise vs. counterclockwise as far as I know. It looks like there's something wrong with the map, though - there are at least some places where the rotations are... odd.

The problem is here that if you set handling at one client, that car will still have the previous handling settings for everybody else. This causes sync trouble. Therefore, offering "true" client-side functions could cause fairly significant bugs if used improperly. If there are to be client-side functions, they should at least be like a proxy for server-side functions - then again that's not really secure. Giving a client access to global server settings of any kind is just not very smart. Nope, server's the way to go.

Please try and have a little patience, won't you? As I'm sure you've noticed, this isn't the largest community on the net, you can't really expect a reply time like on certain other forums. Also, what you need here is either a command handler (addCommandHandler) or creating a GUI (which you should probably wait just a little with). The rest is fairly simple, using moveObject. To get the object, you can use getElementByID (ID is in the map file and is NOT the model ID) or simply move it from the map file and create it in the script. (createObject) Just so you know, the reason I'm not spoon-feeding you any of this, is that this info is already available on the wiki, which you'll probably need to learn to use anyway. Sooner rather than later, hm?
