Are you trying to run your own server, or play on someone elses?
-
1) It's free roam. In Deathmatch mode, you kill other people. In Stunt mode, you perform stunts to gain cash. 2) I would rate the stability about 3/10. Don't worry though, hopefully the next release will be more like 5 or 8 out of 10, and then finally MTABlue will be like 10 and stuff.

Although money is useless in Deathmatch mode, you can still collect it by knocking over the parking meters in Downtown and picking it up, although I wouldn't advise this unless you're really bored

When i use the Server Patch 1.0 No one can join my game!!!!!
Jani replied to [ACK]gAnGsTa's topic in Questions
What happens when somebody tries to join? -
To install the server patch, just copy over the new patched EXE to the same folder with all the other server files in it, and it should overwrite the old one (click yes to overwrite it). As with the timing out, do you mean on an Internet server or a Local Network server?

Lock-on is better in my opinion, shame GTASA doesn't have it on PC.

If you looked at l0ngb0ngs site, you'll see that they aren't hackers, they are a security team. They brute force/whatever other method sites and shit to prove that they aren't secure, they never actually deface them or delete content, and will almost certainly give the site/whatever back after a couple of days, so that the owners have learned their lesson. They will probably even tell the sa-mp team how to secure their site so that a similar thing can't happen again, but by another group who may not be as forgiving. I started doing the same kind of thing myself a while ago, I would join random teamspeak servers and through a variety of different ways, would gain server admin and then "take over" the server by revoking everone elses server admin and deleting accounts through the web console, obviously the people would be pissed at me but I would leave it for a day, come back and then tell them where their security flaws were, and give them server admin back and leave. Hell, one time I even took over a teamspeak with about 50 people in it. These people don't do this shit to damage or deface things, they do it to HELP you, to improve the security. Apparently the sa-mp site wasn't secure, and if it had been a group like g00ns or myg0t that had hacked it, they probably wouldn't ever see anything that was stored on that server ever again.

Welcome to MTA. -
This could be because of the exe. Are you using a no-cd crack/patch, or the German/Australian exe?

So now you can't use the best 4-seater car in MTA. Brilliant. -
Oxidehost.net EUNA Championships - SEASON 3

Heh, that's the best way. I agree with Azer. -
I remember the last 1v1 contest, JunX won it iirc, it was a success. Hope this can work just as well with EUNA running at the same time.

Oxidehost.net EUNA Championships - SEASON 3
Jani replied to Hieu.JZX26's topic in Leagues and events
No pickups at all, because it takes too long, and then sometimes players can die because the helicopter pilot desynchs or something, and have to go round getting all weapons etc again, it gets tiresome. I remember playing for FKU, we had a clan match against some noob clan, they kept dying whilst picking up weapons before this one round, then after an enduring 30 minutes, they finally called go, and the round was over in 30 seconds, without any of our members taking a single hit point of damage -
There is nothing that should cause the game to crash when you try to use the in-game chat. Also, the game is known to crash after spawning a few times. The regularity of the crashes tends to depend on how many people are in the server. In a server with only 2 players, your game may never crash, but in a full 26-player server, you are likely to crash every 4 or 5 spawns. This will be fixed in MTA Blue. However, the MOTD not being shown is a known issue, it will be fixed in a later release.

Ok, after spending most of my time on this forum in the HELP AREA, I have decided to make this post which should answer most common questions. Here you will find solutions to most common issues with MTA. Q: How can I use !sun and !rain and !kick on my server? A: With a script loaded through Aerons 3rd party administration tool, MTA:mA. The most popular script to use is Oli's GRS (General Release Script). It is free of charge, and is full of common features to help you admin your server. Q: When I start a server, nobody can connect to it except me! A: Make sure you set up port forwarding through your router and/or firewall. The default game port is 2003, admin port is 4003 and ASE query port (not required) is game port + 123 (so 2126 if you are on default game port). Q: When I enter game, I don't see anyone, but the server is full! A: Make sure you are running Windows 2000 or XP. MTA doesn't work with older versions of Windows, and users have reported having trouble running it on Linux under WINE. Q: Why do I timeout when I join some servers? A: This can be caused by the script that is being run on the server sending you too many PM's on the $mta.join signal, causing your client to timeout or crash. Aeron and Oli, along with other script makers are working on fixes to this. Q: I got unfairly unbanned from a server, can you unban me? A: The MTA team has ABSOLUTELY NO POWER over any servers other than their own official ones, and can do nothing for you. The best option would be to contact the owner of the server which you were banned from, or maybe the person who banned you. Q: Am I allowed to cheat or use my GTA modifications in MTA? A: Quoted directly from the End User Licence Agreement which you agree to when you install MTA: Q: I just got GTAIII/GTAVC and installed MTA, and when I try to load the game, it crashes every time. A: You need to run the game once in single player WITHOUT MTA before it will function with MTA. Q: I can't use Xfire with MTA. A: Live with it. There are several voice communication programs which you can run alongside MTA, one of these which is TeamSpeak. Public servers can be found at the following addresses: 213.230.209.159:8769 (UK) teamspeak.worldgamerz.com:8774 (USA). More solutions will be added to other common questions when they arise

YOU ARE ALL USING THE GERMAN EXE, WHICH MTA WON'T WORK WITH. In other words, you need the American exe.
-
The commands that you are trying to use are not integrated into MTA, they are features of a 3rd party script. The weather commands are now included in most scripts that are available here or on other sites, but the most popular script is GRS by Oli, and can be found here: http://www.mta-fmj.com/mtama.exe This has to be run through Aeron's 3rd party administration tool, MTA:mA, which can be found here: http://home.deds.nl/~aeron/files/MTAMA319.rar And finally, Aerons MTA:mA tool has to be run seperately through mIRC, which you can find here: http://www.mirc.com Hope this helps you.

Have you tried pressing the Refresh button on the client's server browser, and then choosing a server which is occupied? Also note that MTA does NOT run under any OS lower than Windows 2000/XP
-
When you say "posting a message", do you mean using the in-game chat feature?
-
It doesn't matter where you download it from, there's still a difference between SERVER and CLIENT.
