This issue can be resolved by reading the KNOWN ISSUES topic or pressing the SEARCH BUTTON, two of the very underused things on this forum.

Your English is very bad considering you live in Scotland, and no, you don't need the All-Seeing Eye. That command window only comes up when you run a server, which is obviously what your doing. You need to open the CLIENT, not RUN A SERVER to be able to play the game.

Try playing the game, not starting a server then. You want the client, it looks like this:

Browse to where the exe is. By default, it's: C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto Vice City\gta-vc.exe

Reset Game Path and point it to the gta-vc.exe

You must really suck if you can't get as far as joining a server. Give the client 10 seconds or so to refresh the server list. If nothing comes up after about a minute, it's connectability issues at your end. Check your firewall and router.

"chmod +x" just sets the permission on a file to allow it to be executed "./" runs a file. you dont need the chmod on the tar.gz file since its only an archive. all you do is extract it.

once they are extracted, edit the mtaserver.conf to suit you, then save it, apply the server patch and run MTAServer.

tar -zvxf MTAServer0_5-linux.tar.gz

get the tar.gz then http://www.gonnaplay.com/download.php?f=26&m=1

chmod +x MTAServer0_5-linux-installer.bin ./MTAServer0_5-linux-installer.bin
