  1. Yes this is true, but there are still weapon pickups and when someone dies that person will drop it's weapons to off course

  3. First of all, i do not like this. second: i use phpbb for more than a year now and i haven't had problems third: we will upgrade in time. Upgrading a hacked board isn't easy and then it doesn't mather what board you have

What have we started so far: *32 players *name tags + health status *optimized netcode *team selection *scoreboard *passenger system *screenshot function *key bindings *more vehicles devided over both islands *trainer prevention What will not be in 0.2: *walking animation *weapons on the hunter *drive by shooting 0.2 is an extention of 0.1. We put a lot of small functions that make multiplayer so more enjoyable. Gameplay is only affected by the fact you can choose teams now. New gamemodes will be for a later version

  11. If we have to make a release for every thing we do we would be at version 43546545464568 . Now how low can you go. You know what traffic it costs every time we make a new version? GTA3:MTA 0.3B has been downloaded a 131046 times with a total traffic of 625,5 GB and MTA:VC 0.1 112782 times with a traffic of 47.6GB, now if you look at those numbers, do you think we can make a release every day?

  13. SteadVéx, the compression Draco is talking about (and i will not say the numbers) is to good to be true, if that number can be maid, beleive me, a lot of CPU power is needed to decompress it. I'm not talking hard drive compression. Ever unzipped a zip of rar file in the highest compression? a small file isn't done in a second, now think of the size you need for 96 players, we are talking at least 200kb/s, try to compress that to 20kb/s on your PC and see how far you get

  15. ICS has 4 new beatifull maps, and a new game mode, also the weapon handling has been changed, an AK is worthless while the MP5 and SIG are the best choises

  19. Allright, before we get lamers on both forums : MTA and GTAt did not know from each other that they were doing stuff like character selection or passenger code. So no one stole the idea from the other! I post this to prevent ppl from saying otherwise cause i know they will.
  20. The following represents a personal opinion, not the opinion of the team! The features look impressive, to impressive. 96 players : draco claims to have a verry good compression method. Big compression takes a lot of CPU power and takes time to decompress, 2 possible problems All animations synched : verry possible off course 70+ player models: if you can do 2, you can do all models Ingame menu : it's just an extension of the overlay system we use, you will always need to start a client first and probably it still replaces files ingame chat/console/scoreboard: we are doing the same and is builld the same way as the menu New speedometer: and the use is??? Ingame serverlist/webserverlist : and what if you want to join a server you found on the netlist? you need to remeber the ip??? Synched weather/time : again just some memory adresses more than one guy in a car : we have passenger code as well. Point is, the only 2 extra feayures he has are 96 players and ingame menu instead of an external client. The ingame menu system off course is an advantage over us but we will have to see how his client will perform, how the netcode works (only tested with 10 ppl so far) and what it does with your CPU and for those with a low end system. And we do not see how 96 players can be fun, you can have a litle over 100 vehicles in the game so that's one car/player with that many ppl. Also 96 non AI players is a hell of a lot on such a "small" map. And unless there is complete random spawning we will see a lot of spawn killing. Also we do not see any features regarding anti cheat/trainer software. We have problems with them on small servers, imagine on a server where 50 ppl are playing.

  22. there are indeed some minor security updates, but you need to know them in order to hack the board in the first place. The problem is that when you use a hacked board like ours, it is not easy to upgrade
