DDOs = distributed denial of service a denial of service attack is an attack at servers which can't be stopped. When you try to gain acces to the server the server wil return a denial of service. People exploit this. They send as many service request as possible. The server then needs to send a denial of service for all requests. Due to this a lot of bandwith is used and no bandwith is left over for normal traffic (websites, mail, irc, ...) the distributed means the attack is comming from multiple machines this to increase bandwith on the attack so that absolutly no one can access the server anymore. In the beginning of this attack we saw that some people (including me) could still rejoin our IRC server. But once another machine helpd attacking it is impossible to gain access to the server. This attack is not directed @ mta but at our host or it's ISP.

this should not happen because of a driver update. I updated my drivers a couple times already since i have VC and never had any problems. I am using the same drivers as the one i gave you the link to. I also have Win XP Pro and i have a GF4Ti4600

First of all. The problem should not be the drivers alone. They work perfect for everyone else. Second go to the hardware manager, to your vid card and roll back the driver

use GTAVC 1.0 the only thing fixed in 1.1 is also fixed in the latest drivers you just installed

we never said it was fixed. We said we were working on it. As it stands at this moment it is not fixed

i get mails returend saying that they blocked virusses, but i don't send them since i use web based mails. It is impossible to get infected that way

i don't think we have an adress called support. So the mail ended up with me (i got catch all) then. And i can't have virusses since i never uses e-mail clients such as outlook. I use webmail. Also i scan my pc for virusses on a regular basis

I run XP on my laptop which is a celeron 800 with 128MB Ram (8 shared with Video) and it runs fine My Tbird1400 with 256MB DDR has no problems with it either and this machine with 1GB Ram runs fine since i installed it (31/12/02)

totally wrong. Kurox. They started development on Win98 in 95 and released it in 97. That OS is more than 6 years old. Now most people don't have hardware that old and certainly not if they are running GTA:VC. New hardware needs new software. Windows 98 is stable but old. Win Me sucks. 2000 and XP are the best versions currently available for home user PC. I never used 2K but i have been using XP for more than a year now and it hardly crashes. The only thin XP and 2K have problems with is DOS software but that isn't used much anymore. Ad don't say thing you heard about. I hear a lot. Apperantly to someone MTA:VC0.2 is the best thing ever build. Someone else told me it sucks.
