Mercenary
I will immediately get to work designing a new layout. *Fires up Visual Studio* Link to comment
Mercenary
If you would like to see the work I have done towards a new GUI look, please send a message (MSN, ICQ, PM) and let me know. I will send it out for you to look at. Currently, I believe it takes the .NET Framework to run, but I dont have a computer without this to test on. I will post a somewhat basic (vanilla) screenshot for you. I made it a more compact design, assuming that everything will eventually be integrated into a single, smaller program with all functionality built in. http://jeebus.no-ip.com/ Edited May 30, 2003 by Guest Link to comment
[xNet]DrDre
the gui needs heavy work for graphical wise, but its ok one time i put flash into my app, made the bg like wild as hell, use that as an idea Link to comment
Mercenary
I will post a somewhat basic (vanilla) screenshot for you. I think this is covered. I wasn't going for l33t graphics and a cool skin. More for compactness and functionality. Again, if you would like the exe to see the rest, send a message my way. Link to comment
vulcan
Nice GUI, i like !!! 8/10 its pretty easy to use and understand the GUI great work, i think Maybe it could be even easyer to use.... How about a big GREEN light to show that you ARE connected to a server and a big RED light showing you are NOT connected and a big YELLOW light for something else Link to comment
Mercenary
Thats what the status at the bottom right is for (designed to change colors based on state) Link to comment
Ark Of Thought
Pros: Easy to use Small Everything right in front of you so your ready to go! Cons: Not really attractive It would be nice to have a built in server list other than ASE but it doesn't really bother me. Overall The pros overule the cons I give it aa 8/10 Link to comment
Mercenary
Just so I feel better, can you edit your posts to say if you are talking about my layout, or the current? Better yet, add your reviews of both.. This is still a work in progress, and only a suggestion to what future versions can/should look like. I welcome your inputs/suggestions. Link to comment

We are using VB for the client and C++ for the server which makes it somewhat difficult to integrate one into another Link to comment
Mercenary
I believe this is why you are looking for C++ coders to help convert the code to a single language. I have volunteered to help with this as well. Link to comment
Yakuza
Sorry you just asked my opinion... I gave you 5, less than the mean "can do better". The first box is ugly (with the 4 option). I would had prefer nearly a windows thing, or linuw one. The second is deceiving : i prefers the version we betatested (lol, first saturday, it didn't worked) Yakuzzza Link to comment
Iggy
i think it should open gta3 when u connect to the server....not right when u open the console it's really annoying, it would be rly nice Link to comment
Mr.Bill
k, I think the thingy is great I had a few probs at the start, I checked the fact, answered my questions, and started playing .3b like that! I give it a 100/10 and no, that extra zero isn't a mistake Link to comment
MTA Team Blokker_1999 Posted May 31, 2003 Author MTA Team Share Posted May 31, 2003 i think it should open gta3 when u connect to the server....not right when u open the console it's really annoying, it would be rly nice Well in theory the best thing to do is first start a new game and then connect to the server. Thats why we launch both at the same time Link to comment
Robpol86
but when i launch gta3, i have 2 close the console thing cuz on ase, when i join a server it opens a new console. its just annoying but bearable Link to comment
Scaramanga
only bad thing about the current gui is that it doesn't remember my nickname which is very annoying. Link to comment
Wo33eR
Who cames about the GUI, thats such a small part of the game and it is perfectly fine, i prefere using ASE tbh cos u kno its not gonna fail (even tho gamespy wud b better) Link to comment
