Not many people will go because there is no transportation except for the train. Once they get out, there is pretty much nothing to do once they are there, sopeople will stop going after a while.
Slothman Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 crossing between islands causes trouble. sure It's fun to explore, but it causes things like people not showing on eachother's screens or radars and cars becoming totally desynced untill you restart.

Scorp Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 ^^ They'll probably reintroduce the teleport timer in the next patch, it's the only right thing to do. - oh and when I decide to visit the train stations, I'm the only one that crashes. I've managed to get some rides though
Mike Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 Hmmm.. I've taken full rides from portland to SSV and not crashed, also no-one else in the server had complained of any crashes... BTW: With the new high jump, the subways (and staunton island especially) are really good. If you stand under a low ceiling and jump, you can go through it

I heard rumors of the subway, and a few times of coming back and forth the subway synched. No crashes just yet, but walll aaa, I get in the subway and everyone in the server crashes but me!

It does not always happen. Therefore we urge people not to use them as they will be closed in the next version anyway.

Is there any way to just disable the train, then if people get stranded on another island, they can still run back through the tunnel if they wish.

Ransom Posted February 28, 2005 Posted February 28, 2005 That would have been kinda neat if the subway coulda transported between the 3 islands, because they say the bridges don't work too well. I'm sure theres more to it than meets the eye though.
