ok, im a cheap bastard and dont want to pay for FRAPS, is there any other good quality game recording program similar to FRAPS?

there's Fraps 1.9D, which is free. It has lesser resolution but believe me, it's enough for making videos.

And then there's "hypercam", but I cant tell you much about that, since I only heard about it recently at http://forum.mtavc.com/viewtopic.php?t=3586

But I've always used Fraps1.9D and managed to make some decent vids with it. So did most other people

if using fraps guess you will have to change the capture movie button from F9 to something else

version .2 uses F9 to display player info

i thought you did, but lately i heard someone mention 'hypercam' or something like that. i dont know how it is, or where to find it, but apperently it's an alternative to fraps..

but fraps seem to be good enough

Hi, I need some help. I'm using Fraps 2.0 full, and it works and all, but it cuts my 30 fps down to 7-10 when I'm recording. Is there any way to fix this? The same happens with v1.9D, but There is something wrong with v1.9A. They say it works with Intel chipset gfx, and thats what i have..but it wont record. just makes a blank file.

If anyone can help me get my framerate to be normal (come on, at least 20 fps), that would be great. I tried that hypercam thing..it worked but came out with very bad quality and skippy framerates (bout 1 / 0.5 fps)

nope, unfortunately that happens with a lot of us. apperently it's cause it strains a lot of ur HDD.

that's why i usually record the replays, instead of trying to record it directly. you cant mess up a stunt in replay ;p.

yeah, ive been recording the replays also. well, what fps should i set it to so that itll look smooth in the actual video? I acheived this once but I foget what i used

i normally use 30 fps. 25 fps works fine too, but with 30 fps it worked better to put slomo in and such

lol, when i recorded most of my videos i wuz so unexperienced that i didnt know wut fps meant! lol! still turned out with sum kikass movies tho!

i have a problem.. when i use fraps to record, its comes up with demo on the left and right side of the video and http://www.fraps.com at the top.

Dont worry some people here use it like that, to get that removed you have to buy the program, but you can also use replays.That way you dont have to use money.

If you want to make a video of it you do. I heard there are some alternatives out there, but I haven't tried them, and I don't think they work any better than FRAPS

Just use Fraps to record the nice looking Replay's. The good thing 'bout the replay's is that you can watch them over and over again untill you have recorded the stunt from some nice angles.

No, you can use the 1.9 version of it, which is free.
