  1. All elements that appear in the 3D world have a limit, I have no idea what the pickup limit is. Keep in mind that the pickups in DM are the ones you see in single player, not the custom made ones from race. There is probably no set limit on spawnpoints, though there will obviously be a limit on player slots (yet to be determined).
  2. Pickups have their own limit, spawn points don't have a limit.

  4. I don't think anything can be done about that. You can't make your own game modes without scripting. There will however be plenty of completed scripts that you can use with your map.
  5. The map editor is just for placing items (spawnpoints, pickups, vehicles, etc), everything else you'll have to script.
  6. Perhaps a firewall/router blocking your connection. Make sure the proper ports for MTA are open.
  7. Try deleting gta-sa.set in your GTA folder under "My Documents".
  8. 1) Yes, they can. 2) One way you could change things (like those limits) is through console commands defined in the script.

    If you're talking about synced AI, that probably won't happen in the first release. It might in the future.

  11. 1. A game mode is a script that a map runs, so you can change the game mode by changing the map. 2. Don't know, that will be decided when it's closer to release. Probably anything made by QA that turns out to be fun. 3. Don't know. If not, someone from the community can make one. 4. Yes you can, all of these features (like teams) are scriptable.
  12. It depends on what he means, he didn't give any description. If it's simply having the driver gain health once a hooker gets in his car, that is possible.
  13. I think you can pull cars that have passengers in them, as long as no one is in the drivers seat.

    They aren't synced by the server though, so you'll only see them burn if you're nearby. It can't be used reliably for a game mode.
  16. That can easily be done with scripts, the map editor is just for placing objects, vehicles, spawnpoints, etc.
  17. That would be possible if there is a tram object, but it probably wouldn't be as nice as in single player.

  20. All you need is the GTA:SA v1.0 (not the second edition, though if you do get the second edition there's a downgrader), and the small MTA program. Also note that MTA:SA DM is still in development.
  21. I assume you're talking about the in-game menu option.. What exactly happens when you press the Advanced button? Try deleting your gta-sa.set file in My Documents.

    I'm pretty sure the pirate ship is a single object. Moving objects along one of the axes is easy, but rotating them without messing up their relative positions will probably require some math.

    That is possible. Like any other element of the game, you have full control over blips.
