  1. Open the .map and looks for errors, normally you see the lines error on the console or the command prompt.

Gta sa try to light the model, but the way gta sa use just ... sux ! the whole model become bright when a gta sa light is close to it (vehicle lights for example) More the object is small more this effect work, I got the same effect like in minecraft : So this is ok on peds and on vehicles or small objects, but on big objects it sux and you have a strange effect. To disable it you can do it in 2 ways : -D'ont export NORMAL (This is a button called NORMAL on kams script with the buttons UV and the other ...) OR -Use deniska script , this script only export the vertex color day/night and the UV so it doesn't export what they call NORMAL When you export the NORMAL on kams script you add 2 effect on your model that I know , this add : -the light effect we are talking about in this topic (model can receive light) -Model can use reflection picture (this one is better, this is why I export my NORMAL on some models ) Edit : I find this also : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSF1bfM_ ... re=related Looks some part of the vid show the light effect.

ON = Low fps but ¸it have an advantage , dont remember it, but its better to have it on off on this game (on VC we have alot of glitch lol) OFF = You can have more than 100 fps , its hard to explain its like if you have a good PC ; this leaves your pc smash the fps of the game by giving all his power. On MTA 1.0.5 the v-Sync seems to be OFF my fps is 100 on a 100 fps server (well not alway 100, but its better than MTA 1.1) On MTA 1.1 the v-Sync seems to be ON my fps is 60 on a 100 fps server I d'ont try MTA 1.2 my bad ! But too high fps = -faster players -slow down of swim speed -slow down of boat falling (in falling boats maps like the dinghy fall maps) - ... (there is a discussion on this on the bug tracker) Someone have take a look at the fps on the MTA 1.2 ?

    Use google I would have thought this game : I have downloaded it just to rip files on it, but I will not use the 3D models of the game because I will feel bad, my goal is to do all the 3D by myself, because rip is the easy way and not creative.   12. Good Job on the scripts. But at least put my credit for the models, I hope next time you will make your own, I know you can do it ! Ha ... and it will be better if you lock (attach) the vehicle in the plane , I never see a vehicle in a plane that doesn't follow the plane.

  14. Are you using the same COL file for all of them ? If yes then you are crazy , MTA will load this big collision that cover all the objects 200 + ... , it will load the map col on the map col on the map col 200 + time ... lol ! I find that alot of modders like to put 1 COL for all the map , well I open this col with COL editor 2 and I find that this COL is a COL library, so you have all the COL files in 1 COL library file. MTA read the first COL file of the COL library file , so you need to have the DFF + his COL model (This COL file is the same model, but low polys or the same model shape , but made with primitives (box, sphere) and yes the COL is the most buggy file on MTA ! The model can lose his collision when you go far away and come back !

    Thanks for the announcement, it will helps mappers to put arrows to have a guidance system, I'm boored to say all the time in the chatbox ``this map is good, but it needs arrows, so this map is only fun for the players who know the map, now MTA team have understand the utillity of anim UV and you see how this can be usefull and dynamic`` I thought making a resource like this with all the arrows and other indications that I had made long ago, but you were faster . BTW you're lucky that the alignment of UV is correct on your object If you have problem with these you can bug me , I know how to edit the UV alignment.

  18. Well I d'ont try the editor on 1.2, but the 1.1 editor is the best map editor for MTA for me. You have the old editor, this one is good for the first, but strange to work with the blue menu. After we have the new editor with alot of bugs for example you cant open big maps. Now 1.1 have fixed these issues, of course we are stuck with weird things like you said, the test map is very bad compared to the old editor, but you need to live with it. I never use the editor button in the game menu, I start a local server, I start the editor there and I have the game in windowed mode, I have my resources files outside of the game , I have the full control on the command prompt server and my resources files, I make backups of my maps and when problems appear I can restart the editor or resources fast , I can delete or edit the editor dump or editor test resource because they are often the source of problems. In the past, I need to split my map and at the end I need to open the .map file with notepad copy the lines of all my .map files and paste them into 1 .map file, check the meta.XML and compare it to other ones that work. At least the .map file is something easy to understand and easy to edit when you open it with notepad, you can't do this in other games editor map files (Well they are more complex of course ) ... yep mapping on MTA is sometime a pain in the ass even if the map prop models was done in a 3D digital software.

It looks like a total different game Well this take a lot of time to make all the 3D models in max and after make the map and scripts, but if we can fix the MTA col bug then I will make these things free so you can build a similar thing.   21. No for MTA, maybe with shaders ? There is a plug-in for gta sa solo (normal maps), but it d'ont work very good, it is hard to take an old engine and add things like that and get good result !

    Yep , but gta V will have a more detailed map ! Is less empty and explorations will be better, but I can not say too much, it's just a trailer.
