    If you think that, try to play these race maps which have a lot of loops in the same place ( nab maps ) and things where you need jump and have a lot of rocks in front. You will fall because you hit the stone. So you mean that the game is faster ? The car is faster I guess, but not the game because other dynamic elements have a different speed. The dinghy and boats fall slower in dinghy fall maps, you swim slower and other strange things, looks like too high or too low fps in gta = momentum derailed on different elements Thats why gta have a frame limiter. -Using the default fps is the best to counter these problems but -the high fps rate is comfortable for your eyes and you have more freedom and fluidity in your movement, a racing game has to be fluid in his nervous movements and have a constantly moving landscape.

    It is recommended to set 45 FPS on Race servers because some of PC's can't reach 100 FPS. When Race server would have 100 FPS, players with better hardware would have advantage over players with screwed hardware. The problem isn't that, because players with slow computers has this problem ( like me ). The problem is that with 60 ~ 100 FPS will be very hard to play. Nope ! Best for races games is 80 - 100 because the environment move fast, it need more frames , but on gta sa strange things can happen on too high fps or too slow, weird ! 50 - 60 are for First Person Shooter

    Take the snow script , change the pictures and you got fireflies.
  5. -Add event zone -set bounding size of the event zone (can be a colshape) -Add element camera -Add key frames for the camera animation -Add camera effect shader (example filter of set greyscale value) -Animate this value -Puma marker owned and samp owned much MORE ! export script = When the player Client will enter the event zone, a nice camera event will be triggered. MTA offers these possibilities and it can be awesome with such tools. But I think 50p prefere to make the camera animation in 3ds max and all the stuff and after export. if you make a tool like this a lot of people will stick on you and said ''I love you 50p''

  7. I just wanted to show this to you to put you aware of other possibilities if you do not know ! I know that this is very primitive and bad to work with, I'm a 3ds max user I'm just a noob in scripting and programming due to lack of time to learn this at the same time as the 3D But first you wanted to make a map editor within 3DS MAx and now you want to add an events system that will export lua files Thats ... alot of work ! Whats about the size tool that doesnt exist in MTA editor ? Yea I totally support your idea ! I like system like UDK kismet and Hammer events and I think this is the best way with scripting events, placing sensing area and add an event to it, not just for noobs in scripting, but for scripters also, because with a system like that you can work more fast and more user friendly and its more fun also. But the work to make a system like that is Huge, hard and we must make a different system for each game engine, UDK have a big team of pro coders.
  8. Already deleted all lamp post. but yeah, i was expecting that each object had it's vertex color so i would have to delete one by one, and that'll be hard... The question is... How did the map editor's authors did it? There should be a way to disable all of them, and i think the only way is.... Shaders... I never see how the map editor authors did it, what do you mean ?
  9. Well CrystalMV suggest a function to draw 3D triangles ingame If this comes out, you will be able to make your own 3D in MTA sa. He also makes this I am not frustrated to export each part of the map or each objects, all need to do this for their props in games levels, but I am frustrated when its the time to make the script
  10. So? Well a guy post a topic about an awesome map deco, so my first look is something never seen before, well no ! You can find similar map in youtube, so thats why me and Twilight said ''and?''

  12. gta sa uses old video games tricks, I know these used to make the Lightning effect : Lights in building are another models that appear on night Lightning on objects are Static vertex color All the map use a Ambiant light that just set a global flat brightness and color (see sunset color) The lights on the lampposts and other corona gta sa lights are the lights that add a circle light effect on the ground + an effect on peds and cars. You can delete the lampposts models and the models used to make the Lights in building, but I do not know how to delete the vertex color in one click ! Each DFF files use vertex color so ... good luck to edit them all

Example of a good What the hell I need to do ? On 2:50 the player see that he needs to jump far away to reach the other side, so he has to take speed on the side then turn and then jump. The player have time to think. Good skill + good little puzzle. Example of a bad What the hell I need to do ? 6:05 How to know ? Another How to know what portal you have to take ? [...]

  18. Sorry but I do no understand it, add more info I can see custom smoke FX, a custom car and maybe SRT3, nothing very special.
