Make sure that the Windows Firewall in 7 / 8.1 is not blocking the MTA Server.exe. Also, try adding it manually to the firewall exceptions (both to the 'public' and 'private' group): http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/54 ... ption.html

Other languages - Rules and Guidelines
jhxp replied to Blokker_1999's topic in General Multi Language discussion
Guidelines were slightly updated to reflect recent changes in the main forum rules. -
Wrong. In such a case, you can run the 32bit server on 64bit Linux just fine. https://forum.multitheftauto.com/viewtopic.php?f ... 69#p558469

Make sure that you are in the server directory when you try to launch the server. You can use cd command to change your current directory. You can also try setting the executable flag for server binary: chmod +x mta-server If it still returns the same error, then please read the Linux Server Manual or my tutorial to find out how to set up the server correctly. https://wiki.multitheftauto.com/wiki/In ... _GNU_Linux viewtopic.php?f=106&t=58533

Pinned and expanded this into a discussion topic. So, what do you guys think of GTA V on PC so far? Was it worth the long wait or not?

It is only a one week ban. Just wait it out. And do not use cheating devices again.

Hi there! Guess it is about the time for a status update on what has been going on with Multi Theft Auto lately. Say hello to GitHub We have decided to move our source code repositories from Google Code to GitHub. This of course is related to the recent announcement from Google about the incoming closure of Google Code service. We had already used GitHub in the past and had mixed feelings about it (as seen here and here too), but after some discussion within the Team we have decided to give it another shot. You can find our new repositories at the following locations: https://github.com/multitheftauto/mtasa-blue (main source code repository) https://github.com/multitheftauto/multitheftauto-resources (source code repository for default resources bundled with the MTA:SA release) https://github.com/multitheftauto/multitheftauto-modules (source code repository for various MTA:SA server modules) https://github.com/multitheftauto (our main hub page; you can also find there our old hubs from 2009) The transition was prepared by Cazomino05, ccw, ijsf and Woovie with an use of Google's migration tool for GitHub. We are still doing tweaks to our build server to reflect this migration, so there might be some problems with the Nightly builds in the following days. Cazomino05 has also prepared a nice page which shows you what was introduced in each nightly build. You can find it here: https://buildinfo.mtasa.com/ Keep in mind that we will not be updating our source codes on Google Code anymore, so be sure to use the GitHub repos listed above from now on. Naturally, feel free to fork our projects as well, although you should keep in mind our coding guidelines if you intend to have your contributions included in our code base. New forum rules We are also introducing new rules and regulations to our forums. They have been greatly rewritten to become more clear and straight-forward to our users. There were several additions to rules that included answers for many recurring questions which were asked by users and guidelines for troublesome situations that happened over the years but were not explicitly regulated by the rules. Aside from that, some existing entries were changed to give a better explaination for our recommendations for various issues. Please make sure to read the updated rules, although most of the changes should be fairly obvious and to be expected. You can find the summary of changes here: (link) And naturally, you can find the new forum rules here: (link) Changes in MTA:SA MTA:SA 1.4.1 was released nearly 2 months ago. Since then, there were a bunch of changes made to the mod. These changes were mostly community contributions with fixes for issues within various parts of the mod, like scripting functions behaviour, UI and server tweaks. There were also fixes for crashes related with train models and the localization support - committed by sbx320 and ccw respectively. Aside from that, Jusonex has put some extra effort on the CEF implementation into MTA, which was finally included in the main code base for the upcoming MTA:SA 1.5. CEF (Chromium Embedded Framework) is a framework that allows us to include scriptable web browser components to MTA. That should be it for now. Enjoy the spring season. -- MTA Team

You can use Virtualbox to run two or more MTASA copies on your PC at the same time. You will need the installation disc/ISO for Windows for that, though.
-
Get Debian or Ubuntu. Also, here are some tutorials for running the MTA:SA server on Linux: https://wiki.multitheftauto.com/wiki/In ... _GNU_Linux viewtopic.php?f=106&t=58533

Why i can't change my account password?
jhxp replied to xeon17's topic in Site/Forum/Discord/Mantis/Wiki related
Where you are having this problem? If it's on forums, make sure that you enter your old password in the required field, and use a new password that has 6 to 30 characters, and contains at least one number, one capital and one regular letter. -
Huh? That is an actual criminal rating from GTA:SA. MTA forum uses them for user ranks. http://gta.wikia.com/Criminal_Ratings_i ... eas#Rating

No witamy, witamy.

Looks pretty solid indeed. If I were to get it myself, I would probably go for a faster memory, like DDR3 2133 or something, if the price increase isn't too big. Also, get a bigger SSD. You are missing an optical drive though... not really a necessity nowadays, but might be still useful.

Community Resource Forums down?!

Looks like community.multitheftauto.com is back online. -
They do. SA-MP uses PAWN scripting.

It is currently impossible to change usernames in community/mantis.

Your server address does not resolve for me, nor does it resolve on a DNS tester. You might want to double-check if you added the DNS entry correctly. http://www.dnssy.com/lookup.php?q=s.epicrow.net&t=A

It's simply because it's cheaper and for the price difference between i5 and i7 you would get more RAM so your pc would perform much better in games rather than the original PC build you've listed. That i7 is not newer than i5 as they come from the same cpu generation (4th gen Intel Core CPU - also known as Haswell), but is a bit faster and more expensive. As for the motherboard, would there be a significant price increase between the one you've chosen and these ones below? I've listed the differences between the motherboards in case you'd like to check what you'd be paying extra for. http://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/Z97 ... fications/ (will also support the 5th gen Intel Core CPUs; newer and better chipset, also a full atx format, so you'd get more RAM and PCI/PCIe slots and fan connectors and generally more space on the motherboard for extra cpu cooling etc., and a M.2 SSD port) http://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/Z97 ... fications/ (similar as above, but with a different chipset cooling) http://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/Z97 ... fications/ (same as ones above + better audio codec/sound card, an additional fan connector) http://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/Z97 ... fications/ (same as the one above + better stock chipset cooling and a vrm section cooling, also an even better audio codec/sound card and yet another fan connector, DisplayPort for built-in graphics, no PCI ports but more PCIe ports instead) An Asus Z97-K or Z97-C would be a good choice for you I guess. If you have got a 5.1 speaker system, go with the Z97-C or Z97-PRO if they're not much more expensive.

Just ditch that case and get a different one then. There are many cheap and good PC cases out there... like this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6811129181 As for graphics cards, the amount of the video memory will be the least of your problems, really. It's mostly the GPU itself and the memory bus width that matter the most, and the GT730 does not deliver in neither of them. See for yourself: http://www.pc-specs.com/gpu/comparison- ... on-hd-7850 http://www.game-debate.com/gpu/index.ph ... on-hd-7850

Yeah, the problem here is that these are rather old parts already. The graphics card you've listed is hardly worth to spend any money on due to poor performance in gaming. Only the PSU might be worthy to consider for a simple gaming PC. Definitely try going for at least a 4th gen (Haswell-based) Intel Core i3 CPU (i5 preferred) and maybe an aftermarket gpu such as Radeon HD7850 or similar. That should save you a lot of performance-related headaches for a while.

The processor you have listed in the first post is based on an older cpu architecture (Ivy Bridge) and was made for an older socket (LGA1155, sometimes listed as Socket 1155). You will not see any new cpus being made for that socket anymore, although you might be able to get an aftermarket 3rd gen i7 cpu if you wish to upgrade in the future. Additionally, this cpu is not compatible with the LGA1150 socket and vice-versa, the one below is not compatible with the LGA1155. The cpu ixjf suggested is a newer one (based on Haswell architecture), and uses a newer socket - LGA1150, also known as Socket 1150. Try to get the Haswell-based cpu as you might be able to upgrade your cpu to something better in the future (as in, the 5th gen Core cpu). It also offers much better performance for the integrated gpu which is what you are mainly aiming for.
