  1. We might or might not create a darker forum theme in the future. However, right now our hands are full with other problems related to forums, so we would like to work on them first. We appreciate your feedback about the visual side of things though, guys... Guess a lot of users would be interested in such a theme. You can find your forum settings by pressing the hamburger icon, then Account > Profile and Account > Account Settings. However, it looks like all of these problems come down to using the forums on mobile, as the features you have listed work fine on the desktop version. Will look into the possibility of including the mobile/desktop theme switcher. The forum uses the same theme for both though, so it might be tricky. Thanks for the feedback.
  2. No, it is not possible to use the old forum theme anymore. We have switched the whole forum software so it is no longer compatible with it. We may or may not make adjustments to the current theme though. All messages should have been transferred correctly. The reason you are having over a thousand of messages is due to the Private Messages system being different in IPS. Folders are no longer used so it dumped messages from all your folders into a single place, including ones from the Sent folder. I will look into increasing the PM box sizes for certain user groups, but you should really remove some of your older Private Messages... Edit: box sizes increased. Thanks for reporting the problem with signatures. As for the button for showing your own content, you can move your mouse over your profile avatar, then click the Find content link. Yes, it was set that way on purpose, due to users abusing the editing right and changing the topic contents after a longer while. If you need to edit your older posts, you can send a PM to moderator with the link to your post and your desired changes. This is most likely the correct amount. As stated in the Forum Rules, there are sections where post counts are not incremented when users post in them. We have applied that setting to more sections where users were posting solely to bump their post counts, mainly Offtopic subforums in the Other Languages section. Changing that setting did not affect user post counts retroactively. So if you posted in such a subforum before we applied the change, the posts you have made in there were still counting towards your post count. During the forum maintenance, we have recalculated all user post counts so that is why you have a different posts number now. Thanks for reporting the problem. We are already working hard to find the cause. Apparently you do not need to re-login, you can simply visit any subforum once that happens and you will be logged in again. And if the problem happens again, try visiting another subforum.
  3. Hey, I wonder what this button does... <presses the button> huh? delete all forum users? oh sna- Hi there, the MTA Team is happy to present you with the result of what we have been up to recently - the redesigned and refreshed MTA Forum! This is something that we have wanted to do for a long time, and for several reasons. The forum software we have used until now (phpBB) has served us well through the years, there is no doubt about that. However, as time went by, our needs were changing too. It was becoming less and less feasible for us to use and maintain the forums in their present state, so we decided it was time to try something that is more suited to our current needs. We were recently presented with an opportunity to switch the forum software on attractive terms and we took it. Lo and behold, here are the new forums! Highlights of new features that were not present on the previous forum: forum now runs on a proprietary, secure, well tested and widely used software solution - the IPS Community Suite a completely new, mobile-friendly forum theme a fully fledged rich text editor for posting or editing your content on the forums (instead of the previous plain text box with BBCode buttons) an improved user profile system for greater personalisation of your presence on our forums a new, customizable real-time notifications system also a new, simplified Private Messaging system improvements to the quotation system (quotes link to the original post, and are fully collapsible) and replying in general (the multiquote feature) an ability to 'like' and rate topics and posts, awarding reputation points to their authors topic authors can now assign tags to their topics, making it easier for users to find the content they are looking for several new enhancements and customization features to improve your browsing experience (eg. topic previews; the ability to hide forums you are not interested in) moderators now have an ability to promote your topic on the forum (similar to stickied topics, but separate to them) several new features for us administrators too, which will make forum maintenance easier and possibly allow us to implement new forum features without a hassle ... and more! List of features that were present in the previous forum but are missing or are less functional now: no topic icons Private Messaging system is less pleasant to scroll through. Getting used to it might take some time too it is no longer possible to view the source code of posts. If you really need that functionality, you can check the page's HTML source code directly, then use a third party converter to obtain the BBCode code boxes are no longer integrated with the MTA wiki URLs FAQ: Q: Are my posts still in place? What about my private messages? A: They are both fine. You can find them in the same place you left them before. Q: Will the old forum URLs still work? A bunch of places on the web link to your forum using old URLs... A: Yes, they will work. We have a on-the-fly converter in place for such URLs, so they will still link to where they should. Q: I have found an issue with the new forum. Can I report it? A: Sure. Send a PM to one of the forum administrators (darkdreamingdan, jhxp or Jusonex) and describe the problem you have found. Make sure you provide all the details or steps to reproduce your issue, where applicable. We would like to thank Audifire and the mta-sa.org team for donating the forum software license to us. And naturally, you can not forget about darkdreamingdan and Jusonex, our team members who had both put a tremendous amount of effort in preparing and performing the forum maintenance and migration. Awesome job, guys. Did you like the change? Please let us know in the comments! See you next time. --MTA Team
  4. Send me a PM with your desired username and e-mail address and I will create it for you.
  5. Hello, the MTA Forum will be offline for maintenance for about 5 - 7 days, starting from 1st of September, 2016 (keep in mind that the exact date might change). The forum will be completely unavailable during the maintenance, so make sure to back up the content which you may need during that time. Only the forums will be affected, all other services will remain functional during the maintenance, so no need to worry about them. Please see this topic for discussion and more information about the maintenance. Thanks. --MTA Team
  6. The goal of this maintenance is to perform the upgrade of our forum software. Why will it take nearly a week though, you may ask? The long time is required to fully process all the essential data from this forum. And there is a lot to process, after all our forums are nearly 13.5 years old... We will do our best to keep you informed through our usual communication channels - @MTAQA Twitter and #mta channel on GTANet IRC network. However should you need help with MTA:SA or Lua scripting during that time, you can also visit our help channels on IRC - #mta.support and #mta.scripting. We will have a nice webchat page in place of the forums which you can use for that. Hope to see you again on the refreshed forums. --MTA Team
  7. Not really. We are in process of re-assessing our infrastructure right now so any non-critical problems are not our priority. Once we are done with it, this will no longer be a problem. As for a temporary solution for this obscure problem, make sure to visit forums through https. If you somehow get a http address after logging in, change the URL in your browser to https (simply add s to http:// or add whole https:// word at the beginning of URL, whichever applicable) then go to the page you've got linked to. Also, use the login form through the main page of the forums, not a specific one (eg. when visiting a specific forum/topic, users list etc.). You can try clearing your mobile browser cache too.

    Section Moderator

He didn't quit MTA. He just visits forums less often due to work. Don't worry, we are monitoring your section. It is nice to see that it got more active recently. The topic got slightly outdated so I guess I will just ask again. So, who do you guys think should become a moderator for this section? Obviously, please keep in mind that we may or may not recruit a moderator based on your opinion. This depends on whether the nominated user fits our criteria for becoming a moderator (as listed in the Other section of our Forum Rules). Also, once (if) we recruit a moderator for this section, we can add any number of subforums to the Romanian section to make it easier to find specific content. The new moderator will be then able to move topics to their corresponding subforums if needed. Lastly, please keep in mind that this is not our (forum's staff) top priority right now unfortunately. We are currently in process of re-assessing our infrastructure so we will get back to this once we are done with it.
  9. Did you do all the steps listed in my post? If so, then please download, extract and run MTADiag and follow the instructions. Press 'n' when asked. Post any Pastebin URL MTADiag gives you. Do not run other programs which may interfere with MTASA. Also, you could have used forum search. There are several topics related to that problem. Try reading them if your problem is still not solved. https://forum.multitheftauto.com/viewtopic.php?f=104&t=99801 https://forum.multitheftauto.com/viewtopic.php?f=104&t=99691 https://forum.multitheftauto.com/viewtopic.php?f=104&t=99074 https://forum.multitheftauto.com/viewtopic.php?f=104&t=97880 https://forum.multitheftauto.com/viewtopic.php?f=104&t=90942 https://forum.multitheftauto.com/viewtopic.php?f=104&t=83095 https://forum.multitheftauto.com/viewtopic.php?f=104&t=79614
  10. Should be fine now. Check my post again.
  11. Try doing steps listed here: https://forum.multitheftauto.com/viewtopic.php?f ... 22#p853022 Also, wrong section.
  12. PM me with your e-mail address and your desired wiki username and I will create it for you.

    MTA:VC

In case you are looking for more information about MTA:VC and GTA3MTA, we have a whole subforum for it. You can find it here: https://forum.multitheftauto.com/viewforum.php?f=136 Please try my mirror for the installer for GTA3MTA/MTA:VC 0.5r2 (our last official release for GTAVC): http://www.jhxp.net/personal/mta/MTA05Installer.zip VirusTotal (for uncompressed file): https://virustotal.com/en/file/00c48636 ... 466611454/ You can also try the ones listed here (uploaded by third parties though, so keep caution): https://forum.multitheftauto.com/viewtopic.php?f=136&t=33529 You will most likely get a virus warning once you download or try to run it, but that's it. You will have to temporarily disable your AV software or add the installer and mta executable to its exceptions list. Source: https://forum.multitheftauto.com/viewtopic.php?f=136&t=33528 Also, please keep in mind that MTA 0.5r2 (and GTA3MTA/MTA:VC in general) is buggy, unsupported, and is generally a horrible piece of software. It was designed nearly 12 years ago and it certainly hasn't got any better since then. I'm not sure about 0.6 as I have never used it. It is being developed by a third party team without any supervision from us.
  14. Try doing steps listed here: https://forum.multitheftauto.com/viewtopic.php?f ... 22#p853022
  15. Try doing steps listed here: https://forum.multitheftauto.com/viewtopic.php?f ... 22#p853022
  16. No need to post the same question twice. https://forum.multitheftauto.com/viewtopic.php?f=91&t=99503
  17. Try doing steps listed here: https://forum.multitheftauto.com/viewtopic.php?f ... 22#p853022 If that doesn't work, try uninstalling MTA:SA and install it again using this installer: http://www.moddb.com/mods/multi-theft-a ... ndreas-152 Lastly, try temporarily disabling your firewall and see if that helps.
  18. No need to create multiple topics about the same thing. Also, I have merged two topics you have linked to in your post for the same reason.
  19. Try updating your drivers. Intel HD Graphics 4600 - download this file: win64_153628.4332.exe https://downloadcenter.intel.com/downlo ... 8-1-15-36- Radeon R7 M260 - download Crimson Edition 16.2 Hotfix (untick/do not install AMD Gaming Evolved App while installing the driver) http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/m ... s+8.1+-+64
  20. I have already mentioned which files you should download in my post. Just in case, I have edited my post to make them more visible.
  21. 1. Does the single player mode work? 2. Update your drivers. Intel HD Graphics 4000 - win64_153342.exe https://downloadcenter.intel.com/downlo ... -10-15-33- Radeon HD7730M - Crimson Edition 16.1.1 Hotfix (untick/do not install AMD Gaming Evolved App while installing the driver) http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/m ... ws+10+-+64 Conexant Audio - Audio_CNXT_W8.1_A00_Setup-Y1116_ZPE.exe http://www.dell.com/support/home/en/us/ ... egoryId=AU 3. Try uninstalling GTASA then install it to a path that does not contain non-standard characters (such as ` like in your case: C:\Songs\tamer arrab kaman\`-\MTA\). Also update your MTA:SA to 1.5.2 afterwards.
  22. Keep in mind that you need to find a correct language version of the service pack. Eg. if your Windows XP is in Romanian, then you need to find a Romanian Windows XP Service Pack 3.
  23. That's weird. Maybe it's related to your second screen. Try disconnecting it temporarily and see if it changes anything. Simply shutdown your PC, then disconnect your second monitor from it.
  24. No worries. I just wouldn't be expecting much from that GPU, but if you know that already then it's alright. http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nv ... 3024vs2168 http://www.game-debate.com/gpu/index.ph ... 00-desktop And no, this isn't just due to the benchmarks listed above but due to the pure specs of that card... Then again, you seem to have a different variant of it with 2GB of VRAM so maybe it performs slightly better. Yeah, you seem to have a lot of d3d* DLLs in your GTA:SA install, so that does not really look like the game is not modded. Even if just in case, I would keep those DLLs out of the GTA dir. You can make a copy of your game directory for the single player mode, then you can mod it to your liking... or you can do exactly opposite, you can rename your GTA copy, then download a clean copy from Steam and use it solely for MTA. Do not install a default driver for Intel HD Graphics, use a newer one instead. Eg. this one: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/downlo ... 0-4th-Gen- Did disabling or uninstalling the Rivatuner / MSI Afterburner make any difference for you? Either for the stuttering or freezing when quitting MTA:SA? *** In one of your posts you've said that you had stuttering in your own server. Did you also mean that you have the same issue in your locally hosted server with all the default settings and so on? I mean the one which you normally get by using the Host Game option in the main menu of MTA:SA client. Anyway, since it's quick and easy to check, let's eliminate the performance aspect. What about setting the game to minimal video settings (or even better, default ones - to achieve that simply temporarily rename your gta_sa.set file located in your Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files directory, then run the single player mode)? 640x480 resolution, low quality, no visual enhancements and no antialiasing? Do those settings still give you stuttering in your locally hosted server?
  25. This is an exempt from your core log: So maybe try disabling or uninstalling RivaTuner/MSI AfterBurner and see if MTA:SA will work correctly. Also, your GTASA install seems to be modded. We recommend using a clean GTASA install for MTA:SA. As for potential issues with stuttering, your video card (GeForce GT 705) is pretty bad performance-wise. I would still recommend using the integrated one (HD Graphics 4600) instead, after updating the driver for it.
