  1. Try doing the steps for Debian 7.0/Wheezy. Also, instead of using MTASA 1.3.x, just use 1.5 or 1.5.0. Should hopefully work. Either way, I will try to update this tutorial for Debian 8/Jessie & MTASA 1.5 soon.
  2. Remember that you can always try recovering your wiki account first by using the form on this page: https://wiki.multitheftauto.com/wiki/Sp ... swordReset If you are lucky and/or have registered on our wiki before we implemented the OpenID system, your e-mail address might be still attached to your wiki account. However, if the form above didn't work for you for some reason then you can still ask in this topic for assistance. Eg. if you did not receive the message with the password even if you had an e-mail address attached to your account - happened to me personally, so I had to use a gmail account to get it back.
  3. You should keep in mind that there are performance differences between various Intel HD Graphics implementations. Each newer CPU generation is noticeably faster than older ones in terms of iGPU, but there are also different iGPU variants for CPUs within the same architecture. So, what would have worked fine on an i3/i5 cpu, might not be that great on a Pentium/Celeron processor. Here are some comments for the iGPU on the particular cpu you've listed: https://steamcommunity.com/app/200710/d ... ideModal=1 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/179 ... try2415239
  4. Dear MTA players, We have rather unpleasant news to share. As you may have noticed, our forums were inaccessible last Sunday (30th of August). This was caused by the security breach to our forums by an unknown third-party. We have found out that, as a result of the breach, some user data might have been accessed by said third-party. Because of that, even though the user passwords are hashed, we strongly recommend changing your forum password. If you have already changed the password today, then you're set. Also, if you have used the same password over multiple services, we strongly recommend changing those passwords too. Ideally, use a unique password for each service. We deeply apologize to you for this inconvenience. We have messed up and we know that. To prevent a similar situation in the future, we are in process of implementing additional security precautions and improving our overall security model. Once again, sorry for the inconvenience. -- MTA Team
  5. Creation of new wiki accounts is currently restricted, however you can PM me your e-mail address (a gmail one preferably) and the username of your choice and I will create an account for you.
  6. Current player counts are very similar to the ones shown in Woovie's post.
  7. If you bought your server through a Game Server hosting company, then you should be able to ask the company to update the server for you. Or, if you bought a vps or a dedicated server and installed MTA:SA server on it yourself, you should be able to upgrade it in a similar way you installed server. Stop the server, upload and overwrite the binary files, then start the server again.
  8. Instead of apologizing for caps, why don't you just remove it from your post and write it normally?
  9. Great, glad we could help you.
  10. Alright, according to your Motherboard's manual, it looks like you can increase the amount of your VRAM through BIOS. To do that, please do the following steps: 1. Restart your PC and access the BIOS menu. Not sure how to access the BIOS menu? Once Windows shuts down and you see the Award Modular BIOS (or similar) text on the black screen, immediately press the 'Delete' key several times. 2. When you are in the BIOS menu, select the Advanced BIOS Features option and press the 'Enter' key. 3. Now, select the Frame Buffer Size option and increase it from 64M to either 128M or 256M. You should be able to do it either by pressing the 'Enter' key and choosing the value, or by pressing the '+' / '-', or 'Page Up' / 'Page Down' keys to adjust the value. 4. Make sure not to modify any other option if you are unsure what they do. If you accidentally modified an option, you can just press the 'Esc' key a few times and discard changes once asked by pressing the 'Y' key. Then you can re-start from the beginning of this advice. 5. If you are sure that you did not modify other options, press the 'F10' key and confirm saving the settings by pressing the 'Y' key (you might need to press the 'Enter' key too afterwards if nothing happens). Your PC will restart automatically. Once all these steps are done, try launching MTA:SA again and see if it resolved the problem. In case you set your VRAM to 128MB and it did not solve the problem, try increasing it to 256MB. The downside of increasing that value is that it also reduces the amount of your System RAM, so that's why you might want to try with 128MB first.
  11. Please download, extract and run MTADiag and follow the instructions. Press 'n' when asked. Post any Pastebin URL MTADiag gives you.
  12. You should use your VPS hoster's control panel to reinstall it your VPS to Linux.
  13. You will be unbanned automatically once the time displayed in the message passes. As for unbanning you earlier - no.
  14. MTA:SA powinno działać w porządku, o ile tylko na komputerze będzie zainstalowany najnowszy build systemu operacyjnego oraz najnowsze sterowniki. Sporo osób sprawdzało działanie MTA w trakcie testów Windows 10 (Windows Insider), i o ile jeszcze całkiem niedawno były problemy z wydajnością gry we wcześniejszych buildach systemu, to nowsze buildy je rozwiązały. Zatem nie powinno być problemów również z końcowym wydaniem Windows 10. Oczywiście, w razie gdyby występowały jednak jakieś problemy związane z grą na Windowsie 10, to postaramy się je szybko naprawić.

    Please downgrade?

You can't join 1.4.x servers with a 1.5 client. But you can install both clients (1.5 and 1.4.1) to separate folders and use the one which you need for the server you want to join. Also, there has been less than an hour since you have originally posted your topic and you are complaining about the lack of replies? Come on... have some patience, please.
  16. Hi there. It has been nearly two months since we published a Release Candidate for the upcoming version for public testing. Today, we decided to conclude our tests with a stable release of Multi Theft Auto: San Andreas 1.5. If you have played the Release Candidate yourself or been following our news posts, then you should have a pretty good idea of what to expect from the new release. New features such as built-in Chromium/CEF (web browser) components and scripting functions for creating your own 3d lights are still in there, along with a bunch of other improvements and fixes in various areas of the MTA:SA client, server and default resource package. A brief list of changes can be found here, however if you are looking for more detailed lists, see below for instructions. This release is only compatible with MTA:SA servers that are also running the 1.5 version. In other words, you can not connect with a 1.5 client to a 1.4.1 server (or vice-versa). This should not be a big issue, because, for the time being, you can have both clients (1.5 and 1.4.1) installed at the same time and use the right client when needed. Regardless of that, we encourage all server owners to upgrade their servers to the newest version to take advantage of new features and bug fixes. Please note that this is our first stable release since we switched to Github. Should you be looking for an extensive change log, please check out this handy page, in addition to our now phased out Google Code project page. You can also find the change log at our bug tracker. Want to download MTA:SA 1.5? Click here to go to our home page. Once there, click the Download button at the top center of the page and you are set. Linux server packages are also available. Windows 10 notes Aside from our own release, we know that another big software release is just around the corner. We are talking about Microsoft Windows 10, which is said to start its deployment on 29th of July on some PCs and devices which are eligible for the upgrade. We know that many of you have already tried it though, and left us feedback in regards of MTA:SA's compatibility with the new OS. There were some reports related to client performance issues on recent Windows 10 builds (as seen here, here, here and here too), however they do not seem to happen anymore on the latest OS build (10156+). If you are running an Insider Preview of Windows 10 and are experiencing issues when playing MTA, you should upgrade your build to the newest one through Windows Update. Rest assured though, even if other issues or inconveniences when playing MTA:SA on Windows 10 will show up, we will focus on fixing them as soon as possible, only once the stable build of Windows 10 is released, however. Enjoy the Summer Season. -- MTA Team

    PC shutting down

Is it a fairly recent laptop or an old one? Also, what about other games? Are you getting BSoDs while playing them or not?
  18. Nice attitude. Why don't you spam me with more e-mails and PMs and see if that will help you with getting unbanned... Pro-tip: It won't.

    ban by mta

No, we are not going to unban you early. You were banned for a single day so just wait it out. I would also recommend you to use that spare time to remove any cheats that you currently have installed or tried to use.
  21. Yes, we do provide Linux server packages for the 1.5 RC. You can get them from this page: https://nightly.multitheftauto.com
  22. Our next major build is coming along nicely, so we are keen to let you guys into the action ASAP. You probably already know this from our previous news post, but the main highlight of MTA:SA 1.5 is the introduction of the scriptable ingame web browser components. These allow you to do some interesting stuff, ranging from displaying a simple browser window ingame, getting it to display a YouTube video, to rendering a webpage over a certain object ingame. We use a Chromium/CEF for this, so it should be good enough for all your web browsing needs. Check out the video below for some examples of its usage: Can't watch the video? Then go check out these pictures instead: https://imgur.com/a/pXG2t (video and images were kindly provided by Jusonex) This Release Candidate is naturally incompatible with older MTA:SA versions (including MTA:SA 1.4.1), so you will only be able to test it on servers which are also running the 1.5 RC. We intend to keep the compatibility with the final version of 1.5, but this might not be possible to do, should we need to make some major changes in it. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD MTA:SA 1.5 Release Candidate If you spot a bug, please report it on our bug tracker. Thanks. --MTA Team
