I'm also on dialup myself. Since some of the determining factors are your location in relation to the serv and your ISP, me being from Greece, I'm usually around 360ms on US servs and 260ms on UK ones. Oddly enough, whenever I try the Goonies serv, I'll get sky-high pings such as 750-800ms . Now of course because of your slow con you should be aiming for non-full servers, or some that can host a max of 8-12 players (like the old .2.2 official one which I really miss ). More than that will probably make for much worse gaming and for higher pings and IMO would be kinda pointless. Disconnects, CRC timeouts and crashes are unfortunately always in the game. Personally on average I'll get one or another around every 15 mins or so, but I can't really say it hinders my gaming to any considerable extent. I'm more worried about cheaters and the general lack of proper/sufficient admining than any of that. Just my 2 eurocents...

Most probably it has only happened to you. What did you do to try n fix it? Did you go to the Device Manager with the mouse and try to reinstall they keyb driver or something? Did you try to look at the running processes and see whether there was something wrong there, something that shouldn't be running like two instances of MTA perhaps? Maybe killing the explorer process and restarting it as a new task would help. Also you could take a look @ the event logs (apps & sys log per se) with the event viewer and see whether MTA returned something really nasty to the OS. Or check the services list and see if the PnP one stopped (there's a stretch if I ever suggested one!)... Note: all of the above (brainstorming/brainfarting) are of course speculative guesswork, but can be done with the mouse alone, provided that your desktop didn't suffer any significant blows itself, such as it being frozen, or the taskbar/explorer thread not responding. So if you're still having probs with that, you could try em I suppose.

I was thinking that same thing when I saw a similar stunt in Extreme DeathMatch (3:35 - 3:39) (dunno if you've seen that vid), but now I'm not all that sure. I guess you could try recreatin it in an MTA stunt serv with the Shrubb char drivin a Freeway, a Suxx char ridin pillion and some1 else piloting a Mav at them, rotor first. All it takes is timing and skill...

Thing is TGA puts up a big effort to do everyone a service by hosting most community vids and files and even its site's reform aims towards that same purpose. There wouldn't be a point in any of that if no one actually visited the site itself though, would there? At least that's what I'm getting from this...

Edit: Yeah, that kinda aggressive kick policy could drive skilled players away just as easily as cheaters leaving only ppl that can get a kill every 5 mins. Not much fun there...

Ever since .3 things have been laggier for me in every server and that's why I've been playing less n' less online. Anyway on most of them, my ping was still around 360-380ms on average, just the spikes n shit have gotten more frequent or something. There was only one exception and that was the Goons server; the few times I ever tried to play there it would be around 800, so I always left a min later without trying to play. Now yesterday was my first time playing after my uni exams period, so I just wanted to see if it was really that bad, or maybe it was just the serv not liking my con (once I tried with a cranky con I had from a different ISP and that gave me a 400 ping). After trying to play for 15 mins, without having much fun in the process, I left cause it was really as bad as it said. I probly won't be playing on the goons server any time soon, but I didn't give it a 2nd thought about those 15 mins. Turns out it was annoying for the mighty TofuGrip though! Well tough break for ya, but I don't give a shit. If just being in the same serv with ppl on slow cons or similar probs makes them a dick in your book, guess what you are in theirs for getting such a shitty experience out of it and have you bitchin about it on top of that. Have fun now. Edit: Back on topic, I don't think TS or any kind of VOIP proggy should be takin more than 5KB/s out of your con.

Ok, saw Extreme DM as well. Good vid and generally most of what I said about MR is true for this one as well. I don't think there were any modded stunts in this one. The black Blista NPM stunt kinda got me wondering, cause I've hit that wall a million times with many kinds of cars and bikes and I'm pretty sure it had a tad too much momentum for the kind of lil car it is, but maybe I'm wrong. If I am, no offense intended. The stunts where you closed in on cars ready to blow were indeed pretty funky and quite novel especially the PCJ slide under the FDVC truck! Again it did get me thinking about some kind of tampering, particularly that 2nd one where you bumped the firetruck while it was going boom. A bit too close to avoid catching on as well if you ask me, but again I'm just telling you what IMO was the odd(est) one out . Anyway, some other visual candy like that PCJ airport clip with the fireworks (lol wtf was that? got bored while editing and decided to overlay it?) and the snow were cool to see, but that fokn negative colours filter got on my nerves eventually. Why the hell did you use that throughout the movie ? Soundtrack choices worked out this time as well. Only objection is that it was that damned edited version of Puffy's "Come with me", which was lame (I mean c/mon, you could've easily d/l-ed the original vers from a p2p proggy). Still a good song tho. One last thing: Motor Rush credits - Acid Pro 3.0: WTF is that? Never heard of it before. Is it an editing proggy? If so, what's special about it? Better than Ulead 7 in any aspect? Like I said before, you guys got some fine skills (you're a pretty big crew as well!!), so keep doin' what you do, cause it looks great . Sorry for the long post.
