  1. Yeah... don't you guys usually discuss stuff like that privately?
  2. I've never seen a minigun in MTA, and the bugs in the client make warping and invincibility difficult to prove. Cheating has lessened, but it didn't ever happen on every single server.
  3. You cant count this as a"change" to gta cause its not like gta has s speedometer and they added their own. It isnt in gta and mta team added one now,so nothing of gta has been changed. Yeah, I suppose it's not a major addition. It just feels alien though. And yeah, I also hope it can be toggled so that I can see what it's like and disable it if I don't like it.

That's true. Oops But if 0.3 works, I don't see why 0.4 won't (as to whether the new core will is another matter).

I expect that it would be ok considering that it's been built to run 32-bit apps alongside 64-bit. Can't you try it, seeing as you have 64-bit XP?
  6. It just seems a bit surprising considering that the MTA team don't like to change GTA itself.
  7. I'm sure that it would be quite easy for someone to override the anti-CRC for use with internet play as well.
  8. Yep, it causes an exception so XP helpfully reboots by default so that you can't read the message
  9. How come there's left-over multiplayer code in GTA3 then?
  10. Well, it does say on the home page: I'm sure the devs can give you the specifics on why it doesn't work on your system.
  11. I normally listen to Flash FM, but MTA always starts it from the beginning each time so I get bored and sometimes flick through until I hear something good. I never listen to KChat though because it can't touch Chatterbox on GTA 3 (in my opinion).
  12. *patiently, as if to a child* Yes, that's what Vendetta said.
  13. Yeah, but every company says that about their own products. I find it best to keep a neutral opinion until some lucky journalist manages to secure a playtest and give an unbiased opinion (well, less biased - I don't think there's such a thing as an unbiased third party).
  14. Yep, you're PC's pretty similar to mine in terms of specification, however: Does that mean that you're not currently running XP or 2000? MTA does not work on legacy systems (i.e. 9x family, NT family).
  15. I'm not sure if the PS2 will even be a contestable console when GTA4 is released, as a lot of developers are pushing their next-gen consoles. Plus, Rockstar may not choose to renew their contract with Sony after San Andreas.
  16. I think it's because it was embarrassing for the team to have to release a quick radar patch when 0.3 came out, so they want to make sure that such a fiasco doesn't happen again. On the plus side, they've been working hard on the core so that the next release of MTA won't take as long (hopefully). Hmm... that wasn't a clever thing to say, methinks
  17. Blimey I've got 600k and I've never had 600/700 pings (although I was kicked from a server once for exceeding 250 ) What are the specs of your PC? MTA is a client-side mod, so its system requirements will be higher than those of GTA. Either that, or it could be a routing problem with your ISP (if the problem's only started happening recently).
  18. What video? The fact that there might be a video was only speculated (unfortunately). One question: Are there two more tests to come (i.e. one more for GTA3 and one more for VC), to establish that bugs found in previous tests have been eradicated?

    Should I...

What?? Are you using a cracked version?
  20. Well, it seems that everyone assumed that you meant San Andreas, but did you actually mean GTA 4? If so, all we have is a name and no other information.
  21. Yeah, but it wouldn't work as well as the proper PS2 controller because GTA for PC wasn't designed for it. Also, whilst GTA SP might be ok, MTA will most likely have problems with it. controller adapter for the pc, i have one, and use it for mta, only while driving mid you, it works perfectly there is no difference between it and when playing on the ps2, in the future don’t comment on what u don’t know about, It annoys me and im sure it annoys other people. 1. How come you only use it for driving? 2. It wouldn't work as well meant stuff like the rumble pack, etc. Obviously you can control it to an extent due to the fact that GTA was designed for joysticks / gamepads. 3. When I said it might not be compatible with MTA, I meant MTA's key bindings. 4. **EDITED**
  22. Yeah, but it wouldn't work as well as the proper PS2 controller because GTA for PC wasn't designed for it. Also, whilst GTA SP might be ok, MTA will most likely have problems with it.
  23. Yeah, but you don't use the PS2 control pad that way. Also, his PC may be too slow to play VC comfortably.
  24. Yeah, this has been discussed before, but I reckon that balancing would be the biggest issue in co-op (i.e. the number of enemies multiplied by the number of players).
  25. I think that everyone should be encouraged to learn English. It's not because I'm biased, but more that they're disadvantaged because of the sheer number of English web sites, movies, etc. (And watching films with subtitles detracts from the experience, before anyone points it out).
