I was thinking the same thing. I have crouched behind a wall while they thought I was standing a bunch of times. Now they will know to flank me. I started playing with verison .2 and .2.2 brought stunts and healthbars with names then .3 was even better with the amimations especially in cars and banished the minigun forever so I am really looking forward to this new version. I can't help but think it will be released very soon. Just a hunch

Spectator Mode means you did go in game I think it will be similar to what you see when you look at a fight now. Except you don't have to worry about being shot. If they added spectator mode to the game as it is now there would be no difference but hopefully the new games added animations and improved sync will fix some of these concerns It will be real easy to find out who is flying a truck if that is still possible in the next verison or speedhacks Aside from that there is a bunch of non cheating uses for the mode and I can't wait for it.... but I will

they are working on allowing you to use certain mods but for now it adds extra variables into the betatest and makes it harder to isolate real bugs in the game.

You can't because it will effect your gameplay and those around you as well. Do a search on it there is volumes written about it. Bottom line Use MTA with a clean install of vice city. You can install VC again in another folder and mod up the game for single player but using the mods in MTA will get you banned. Locked But not really locked because I am not a Mod...

Noone in MTA ever dies because of the skill of the other person. Whenever someone kills in MTA it is always because of thier skill. Those two statements are forever at odds and it is played out in the chat on a daily basis. This thread is dedicated to the finest lame ass excuses that ppl use when they are shown to the select screen. If you see a funny or interesting excuse for why someone died please post it here This isn't a newb phenomenon. You will find the most talented and skilled MTA players use more lame excuses than any new person. Most times the veteren has tired of saying "cheater" "lagger" so they come up with some gems some examples "Stupid Mouse" "I was on the phone" and my favorite "I am not really trying or I am not playing my best right now don't make me mad or I will"

too true Kent was in the PartyServer and 10 secs in he was called a cheater. I explained in the admin that Kent is one of the ppl who made the game and he in no way is a cheater. 10 secs later.... Newb_lamer: Kent is cheating unreal... I can kill laggers and I don't complain about it too much. They are a little more work but no big deal. But some laggers are just not competitive. Sometimes I can oneshot them but 9 outta 10 times I just run out of ammo unloading on them. Lara C. is one of these ppl. No offense but Lara can get hit (on my screen) with more lead than Baltimore's water and not a scratch I end up just avoiding the lagger and sneaking the other poor suckers who try to shoot the lagger. It isn't always ping, some ppl are playing this game on a Intellivison or an Atari 5600 and they are as worse than high pingers because you can't hit F11 to confirm that they are laggy. LaraC while laggy is very polite so she doesn't fit the topic of this thread. The main point is the people who can never die because the person who killed him was good. It has to be something else and they can never say good shot... nice... ect... There are plenty of ppl who do this and they make the game more fun to play. hmm... download the mtama that is the mirc admin for MTA it's found on the downloads page. Yeah way off I agree some ppl are pure aholes and other "newbs" don't know about lag and sync. I might add a !lag in the script to explain that or better yet a kick when someone says "cheater"

The problem is how ppl use the spas the gun itself is better than a stubby if used correctly. I won't go back and forth with you about this thou. I wasn't playing my best, honestly but if I was I would have admitted it so I will admit it if I wasn't playing well. I didn't do that bad thou... Your point about how you can play well without saying a word and get flamed it true. This is a good point and I hope it isn't lost. If someone kills ppl and doesn't say anything and plays for a while without talking he will be flamed. Many ppl think lag and sync are only issues when the die... It can never play a role when you kill. I am careful to play respectfully and anyone who has played me without starting shit knows that I always say g1 or nice shot ect. and it is important that more ppl play like this. If Utopia's character never said anything but did say "good one" occasionally but never chatted I do not think he would be called a cheater.

Does that still work? I do remember that... But after you have the cash do you pass it on when you are killed? I don't think you can pass on the money. If you could then just giving ppl 1000 to start would show how good you are doing. Whoever is the first millionaire would be totally owning the game.

I have done this as well. I didn't say anything for a while I got up to 300+ kills and I was having a especially good day too. I finally cracked and talked when someone said that "KungFu" (my real fake name) didn't play anymore because this tool "owned him". Meanwhile I was wiping the floor with him in the game with my other name. This happens a lot. If you are killed it's skill and if you die it's lag, lamer something else. My fake name that time was Azmuth. I used a fake name and played against Utopia. My fake name was Ermac and I won't say what happened. Gamefreek (right before he quit KFC and went to the darkside) joined the game and was called a cheater by all of his KFC friends because he lags. Both cases show you that you should be careful before you start calling the new guy a lagger/cheater/noob whatever... He might be someone you know.
