Well, personally I guess only people that don't have a clue what ping and packet loss are will even see what you guys are trying to say. Sorry to sound cynical, but I lived in a town where we only could get 56k and lived with that for several years, then I moved out to go to college, got on a t1 network and now im to cable. So you see, thats why I responded the way I did. But I would disagree with the ping limiter and autokick though. For plenty of reasons your ping could spike up and if your in the midst of having a good score or in a nearly full server, you could get kicked, lose your score and your spot in the server. Ping usually is not within the control of the player, so thats why it is stupid to ask if its cheating. cheating is simply adding an advantage that makes it unfair for a certain person or group, which is clearly in the control of a player, where as ping, usually isn't. Rant done.

It's a fking game, they should get over it. When I play VC over half the time I see a cop chasing someone down the street, the guys black. So is the black community going to sue rockstar? No, but the idiotic Haitian community feels threatened because the game gives you the simple instruction to complete the mission of killing all the haitians. The gang you are fighting are the Haitians, because thats what they are. Just because there isn't a well known gang name for Haitians they get their panties in a bunch, they should be proud. This is a retarded question. some people still don't even have cable available to them, and even if they do, some people aren't willing to hand out more money for it. Ping is just one of those things that most of the time its beyond the players control.

all they should do, is instead of putting a bubble thing, which would eat more graphic, proc. everything, is just put like when your on msn and have it say" so and so is typing a message. and have seperate chats, one for team and global.

Well, I believe if you knew anything about AOL then you'd have the question answered without even bothering to post here. It's not an attitude we're giving you, its the fact your asking a question which is answered if you did a tiny bit of research. Besides, get off of the MTA teams ass, they made this game and they get plenty of questions that are legit that they have to work out.

just make mta server side, that is going to be the only real true way to get rid of most mods and cheats..

Well, im not bitching about it, I don't have that problem very often, I'm just offering up a suggestion for a future version. Make it to where you could have it on or off.

because the game crashes a lot anyways and people assume that something as little as changing the color of their name causes that, which isn't the case at all, its just bugs that everything else ends up having. This is a beta after all.

Well if anything, they should have like a 300 ft safe zone, 10 seconds, or when the spawned player shoots, whichever comes first.

i hope you get cheaters on every major ISP, and end up with near empty servers. no sarcasm or joking, i was serious, and its fully possible (mac adress). I'm assuming you don't know much about ISP's then..you can ban by ranges....assume this ip: 192.1.1.0 if you ban 192.*.*.* you ban everyone with 192 as the first node in their isp 192.1.*.* you ban everyone with 192 and 1 in the first two nodes...and so on. You'd have to ban a LOT of people in order to have an empty server. IMO, ISP is a LOT easier to use than a mac. If anyone wants to try and use my Tribes' clan's moderation program get me on AIM, or MSN.

this problem would probably be solved if the server handled the data. Right now the players hold the data and if someone is paused the game is set to where you can't take any damage from anything when paused. If you were alt-tabbed out then the server would not recognize it, and just think your still there in game, and you would be killable. At least thats what I believe, in theory.

Someone needs a program to convert bmp to jpg?!? why not just use paint? Save as.... "type" jpg....Simple enough for me anyways. Blokker, you have no faith in the MTA community.
