  1. We'll probably make the start race an admin+ function, instead of syncing it through time I noticed this as well, gonna look into it. Did the arrow(s) stay during the remainder of the game? Tricky question, this could mean its going to be a carwrecking match with people showing up in firetrucks, etc hehe They're supposed to be forced in the proper direction when they arrive at the blue hotspot, however, if theyre already there for some time and you are coming from the other far end of Portland, the vehicle's angles arent synched. I'm sure they sped off in the correct directions when the race started.

  4. Havent really tested it, but I think as long as the get-in-car animation hasnt finished, the seat your characted takes place in isnt decided. So entering as driver, then quickly press passenger enter key, you'd slide to passenger side without expecting it.
  5. Didn't know that either, though I doubt we'd be using it anyways, as there's no solid place to be found there (at least I haven't) and would hardly contribute as a playable area because of it's size. Interesting place to visit nonetheless.
  6. Nope Weapon range for actors (other players) is somehow different than for your player, we haven't looked into this yet. A few minor changes, I think. At least one pickup I've added myself You're welcome! Hopefully we can sort out the known issues soon™ and release an updated version.
  7. It's on staunton island, behind one of the walls surrounding the parking lot where you have to kill the suicidal spanked up madmen in the mission "kingdom come". I believe there's an M-16 hidden there as well.
  8. Heh no, it's actually the other way around. We took the firing key to toggle speedometer, because driveby's aren't possible anyway. Previously the speedometer key was 'sub-mission' (Caps) but that caused a lot of people to be accidentally yelling and therefore kicked, lol
  9. Each part of Liberty City will be a secluded area, meaning you can't travel from one to the other still.
  10. Interesting point there. Where do we lay our boundaries concerning changing GTA? At any rate, this speedometer is a 'minimal' change to the game itself and I prefer to name it an addition, as its default state is off, and can be switched on while riding a vehicle. It toggles MPH/KMH/OFF. So much for the speculation. hehe

Simple answer: we do not support modifications. [dutch translation] Je engels is niet duidelijk genoeg om er wat van te maken, maar volgens mij wil je MTA spelen over LAN met je nieuwe auto's enzo. (op een schoolnetwerk?) Daar kan ik heel kort over zijn: Wij ondersteunen geen modificaties. Heh kweenie of je het in de gaten had, maar je hebt het hier over betere en gratis bugs. Dat kan niet goed zijn.
  12. Actually the workload on your CPU/ Graphic Card while playing single-player is much less. MTA holds 80 Vehicles in memory at all times, where in single-player, it is only maybe 10 at any given time. This is what causes slow maploads on slower machines when you're playing MTA. Also, not everything you see desynched can be blamed to lag, such as currently the aiming isn't 100% accurate, which might be interpreted as lag as well.

  14. Vice City's map will be completely accesible, like in previous versions. The second release for 0.4 will include a new part of Liberty City (probably Shoreside Vale) for Gta3. Vice City will probably not change much on the second release.

    Actually, It's possible to have the sitting animation for your actor. I just wonder what purpose it would serve, other than looking neat. We *may* include some animated emotes further down development. Gta3's 'giving the finger' is just begging to be used

  19. Ah, must have missed that when I read the article. Funny that they would deviate from their 'gta1 tribute' style, as in gta1 San Andreas was a city, just like Liberty City and Vice City were.
  20. I keep wondering why they would call it ''Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas'', If there are supposedly three cities.
  21. My bet is that they'll make it look like 90's LA style, with the golden gate. similar to gta1.
