  2. making some sort of proximity mines for boat racing can be done, you could use the bouys ( i used them as bombs for the dodo just to see what happend, and it was hilarious to have the big bouy dropping out of the sky, then standing on its needle searching for balance, and when it found balance, it exploded. it looked really cool, but wasn't practical ) if there are enough ppl who think this is a good idea i might start working on that, but i'd like to concentrate on land missions first
  3. I've made some minor adjustments to the bombing thing. It now drops one of those red explosive barrels which detonates upon impact. So the higher you fly, the longer the delay will be, instead of a timed delay. I'm still fiddling with the bombing camera (i feel that thing is a MUST) and i'll post an update tomorrow or so.

  6. For those of you who wish to try it out, download it here: http://meazle.xs4all.nl/gta/trx/bomb.htm Its a very simple version still, but it works. I will improve it and post a new download when it's better.
  7. They will be using the All Seeing Eye (ASE) which is similar to GameSpy, only I've been told its better, without the commercial crap around it.
  8. LOL, why not call in the USS Nimitz while u is at it or the ISS hehe. Getting a little carried away eh? I haven't told them about my mod yet, I first wanted to see how you people reacted, and more importantly if such a mod already existed. My guess is that it didn't, for even Waterduckie hadn't made such a mod. ( I beat him a couple of days/hours to it )

  11. I dunno, probably, but I doubt the sound will be synced, and it will get irritating for yourself. (unless you change the sound of the jinglee jinglee ofcourse)
  12. It really isn't hard, xerox. The most important thing is that the nose of the Dodo should never point skyward for too long. Create upforce by tapping dodo-down. Now go practice! And no, it's not going to be a required skill on any missions I will make. Can't expect everyone to know how to Dodo, now can we? Good Luck.
  13. Today I created a mod that I've been wanting to do for a long time: Letting the Dodo drop a bomb. I'm quite happy qith the result, and was wondering if it would be a good idea to implement this into a Deathmatch mode (to add some variaty in the killing) Look at this Video to see how it looks: http://meazle.xs4all.nl/gta/trx/bomb.htm (900 kb)
  14. Ya the briefcase idea has been noted as well, and like the whoopee, it isn't hard to change. But I want to see how CTW turns out first. You just gotta love Mr.Whoopee. And for all you PpL wondering: Why a Whoopee? well: 1. It's the funniest car 2. It is very maneuverable (is that spelled right? DOH) 3. It's not real fast or too slow 4. It has a jinglee jinglee 5. it almost never lands exactly upside down 6. Some other reasons I cannot seem to remember at this moment.
  15. After I'm finished with this mission, I'll make it with two whoopee's. This isn't really hard to code.
  16. The gametype isn't really new, since i'm already coding a similar mission called 'Capture the Whoopee'. Changing the Mr. Whoopee to any other vehicle is possible, but remember that the mta mod is still in very early stages, and complicated missions with that many different characters will be very hard to code, let alone synchronize. My mission will (probably) be a lot of fun to play, with or without weapons, because I don't think the mta team have the syncing of bullets/explosions covered yet.

  18. Odie, and some other guys at http://www.Berlin-Mod.de.vu, are working on a mod which let's you race up a hill. It's an extension of their Ultimate Stunt Park, and it will probably 0wn, just like their Stunt Park. (the screenies in the background are from that stunt park, and that car is the Fart Monster Truck. get the truck at http://www.gta3.net)
  19. I still have that same problem, too. I also need to login each time i visit, my cookies are enabled and I even tried deleting them and getting a new one. It's not a major problem, but i would appreciate it if you could fix it.

  21. I guess this thread goes here now, It's good to see that MTA has their own forums, though I can't help but feeling sneaky about it. Oh well, I guess the ModStack forums have lotsa other topics to cover. Anyways, I've been working almost non-stop on the mission now, and it's starting to look better. I'm still working on a way to respawn the car when it hits water. ( It doesn't lock the system anymore if you crash into water - I'm sorry if that happend to anyone - ), but I have implemented other features now: The color of the car will change depending on what team owns it, when no-one owns it it will turn green, (Teamcolors are blue and red) Also, the dot on the map will change color to that of the car. I'll post a new download on my site when I've found a way to safely respawn the car if it fell in water.
