  1. Click the dropdown and select the gametype you wish to view/scan/join/play As for your crash, known issues thread, wiki, forum search. Fixable and much discussed already.

    cheats caps n stuff

Cheating in multiplayer games makes you one of the lowest lifeforms online, wanting to find out how to do so - Same.
  3. You could do all of those with mtama (and possibly other externaly developed admin tools, i've not used those) pretty easily right now. Nice little addition to the basic admin though I suppose if Oli is at a loose end
  4. Do you post pointless polls with your threads. O Yes O Yes O Yes O Yes O No, oh wait, yes! Not only does it make you look a fool when you do so it makes the forum look a mess and can draw attention away from the few VALID polls.
  5. Please post your slanderous statements elsewhere. Thankyou. As for an error being in MTA. Welcome to beta software. May I suggest you read the documentation next time you install something that is in development. In the meantime perhaps it is safer if you stick to tried and tested software such as Barbie Fashion Designer to avoid having to come into contact with any form of bug and the evident suffering it causes you.
  6. Basically that is manhunt, something that has been played in MTA since before mtama, and the first ever gamemode script that shipped for it. Do a forum search for the keyword 'Manhunt' to read the previous discussions about it.
  7. Actually there are between two and four different characters per spawn in mtavc, they look very similar to each other as the original intent was for them to have a team identity. As for the CJ wardrobe that was suggested around 6 months before it even apeared on pc! (about the time of the original PS2 release) p.s. Did you ever play 10six or Project visitor? Your nickname makes me wonder.
  8. Hippy pipapathy mate. Don't get too drunk. (oh all right then)
  9. I love how your post is almost entirely relevant when turned around and pointed at yourself. That's irony at its best that is. Such a shame it is probably lost on you, killerdog. Oh by the way, I can suggest some prety good grammar and anger management courses if you would like. I guess some people have a pretty shaky grasp on both reality and humour, personally I thought the April fool was pretty funny
  10. It'd be ok if people didnt make such lossy copies when they edited it
  11. The guys can take as much time out as they wish (not that they do very often). You have absolutely no right whatsoever to demand otherwise
  12. A lot of long time players didn't like the fact their advantage knowing where to aim (not at the player!) was gone - the aim in 0.4 was spot on at last and new players could hit people! - and that some of the most horrible - and widely used - warp glitches were prevented, this turned them against it. For new players (and non glitchers) it was a delight. Combined with the inclusion at last of a playable gta3 version, more vehicles and better spawn locations (although again the old timers bemouned the moving of the robber - times change people! ), the loss of the pathetic racer class in favour of the far cooler and more useful secret service. To name but a few features - check the manual for the full list Sure it meant people turned to new and different glitches, mores the pity. That says more about people than it says about MTA Betas though And finally theres the glory days syndrome, 0.3 coincided with the peak of interest in that old core (basically the same core was used from 0.2 through to 0.5) and therefore has a lot of good memories associated with it for all, myself included. Which takes us neatly back to the original question posed by this thread.
  13. I suggested respawn points shortly after the release of v 1 (and respawn before that!) but I guess it was viewed as too much work to be worthwhile as the team went with the less versatile last checkpoint system. I like the idea of a limited number of respawns. EDIT: Maps name was also requested some time ago, to be shown in the scoreboard along with server info.
  14. There wont be another version of the old mtavc (In the future after mtasa dm etc there MAY be a blue based VC version, that is a long way off though) Check the known issues thread, if you're still confused search the forum or wiki. The problems you are suffering are pretty common and the solutions are tried and tested.
  15. You are comparing 0.3 with 0.5 yet you skip/ignore 0.4 The best version altogether in my opinion.
  16. It's a sticky.. Bumping has no real effect as its right up here above most posts anyway. These maps are excellent and deserve the dust blown off them now and then.
  17. 0.5.x was cancelled due to most of us that were working on it going inactive or offline, the one remaining, IJs, was busy with GUI and other parts of Blue. It would be pointless to belabour the point and continue to struggle with that old messy out of date code when blue-based mta has so much more promise. Even if there was somebody left wishing to try.
  18. It would be useful if you posted how you fixed this problem in case others are suffering it. The only cases similar to this that I have come across have been people using Talidans executable patcher, after doing so single player would crash regularly and savegames failed to load (the latter due simply to the version change). Was this your issue?
  19. I'm currently working what seems like every waking hour and have had zero time to devote to SARL (or anything else it seems!) if anyone would like to step up and assist, run a few meets, collect results, whatever, then please don't hesitate.
  20. Ad driver said not all results are added as yet. Meet this weekend, check mail tonight for specifics.
  21. Odd, yours is in the list. Check your spam filter settings.
  22. It's been on a bit of a hiatus for the last week or two, mainly we need fresh maps, the ones we have are cool but get dull when played over and over each meet, the mail I sent requesting people to submit or recommend one resulted in nobody, yes, nobody submitting one. I've been extremely busy lately in RL and simply havn't had time to devote to map searching or anything else non-essential (relatively speaking). Even this weekend I have little time. Things should calm down soon and I will have more time to spend on online matters. Meanwhile people are welcome to assist in organising and running meets if they wish, get in touch via irc - or at the moment a less 'live' medium such as this forum or email might be better - And we will get something moving. There's news regarding the website, driver2 has been creating some nice scripts. I'll let him post details rather than steal his thunder.
  23. I can't belive this thread, it's whole purpose being to mock this new section, is still being posted in.
