New site colourscheme looks great, if you skin the forum to match please please keep the option to retain this old skin, it wouldn't feel the same for some of us without it! (What happened to the banners from the competition by the way, I don't think the one at mtavc.com is one of them is it?) I'm not sure that demo derby image was a wise choice, specifically the initial text. Doesn't project a particularly good image for MTA. I just hope it doesnt keep the news item off some websites. I notice in rc3-03.jpg that you can change your Playername 'live'. Nice. I also notice that the player in the Hunter has the same colour radar marker as a race marker, couldn't this lead to idiots parking somewhere and posing as a checkpoint, sending others offcourse? It also looks like the scoreboard is a little bugged in rc3-01.jpg, showing the exact same finishing time for everyone. p.s wth is an rss feed?

The server config is in the same directory as the server. Surely you have edited it before running the server in the first place? Either manually or with the config tool

MTAmA cannot change the server port, you do that in the servers config file before you run it.

You need to be on the administrator account by the sound of it (in Windows), the one you are using obviously has limited permissions.

I wouldnt go as far as fugly, but the poor choice of font and style of the s.a.r.l lets it down. (Even something as simple as capitalizing the letters would improve it)

I remember eai putting some hokey old freeware tiger .x into an early version of blue, I probably still have a screenshot somewhere. No anims but it was in as an object. Why a tiger? No idea, first model grabbed I expect. Looked hilarious though.

I agree that divisions or classes for the different race types would be good. Perhaps the more whacky races style involving vehicle swaps etc could be in a class of thier own for those that enjoy them? I don't really understand what you mean, how would the driver changing be more competitive than a driver in each car racing each other with a cumulative score?

I'm considering organising the first SA racing league in preperation for the coming release. This will be a team effort to ensure it doesn't all hang on a single person being available (as other leagues have done), so anyone interested in helping out in any area, particularly with php/site building, feel free to post. I have the hosting, and a rough league format sketched out, but once gangs, groups or individuals sign up there will need to be a consultation process to come to agreement about specific tracks, race formats and rules etc (In the same way the few decent DM leagues and competitions did in the past) There will be sections for solo, duo and multiple-player teams so all are welcome to sign up from now on. News on the site as it develops (I have something already but my html skills aren't the best so it needs major work)

Not really, it was just a case of none of us using xfire whilst developing and testing MTA, so the fact it caused a crash wasn't picked up until after release. Although in a way you are correct as if xfire had added mta (which they didn't, possibly for aforementioned reasons) then perhaps we would have adressed the crash. It was a Catch 22 - chicken/egg situation
