it's not MTA related LIES. It's the serial to MTA Pro, isn't it!
-
Nope, you're going to have to manage with setElementVelocity, and in the case of vehicles, setVehicleTurnVelocity. For objects I guess you could use setElementRotation or something.
-
Are we sure that he does? *robhol hides*
-
No. And if you could, that'd be extremely pathetic and rude. Shame on you.
-
Should be, yup.

Short-term: F8, type "stop votemanager" Long-term: open mtaserver.conf and delete the line with votemanager in it.

In the meantime (which kind of promises to be a loooooong time) please do stop answering questions (WRONGLY) when you very clearly don't know what you're talking about. You're just confusing people. I don't really know why I bother repeating this, but I guess the 85 millionth time is the charm...

Looks quite awesome, nice work! Can't really check it out ATM , but this looks very promising. Again, nice work. But if I can come with a suggestion: don't waste energy trying to "keep it up to date", just update at release. Probably gonna save you a lot of relatively pointless work.

Look at the other maps for tdma.

Already in 1.0. Search next time, it's been mentioned before.

Just find the part of the resource that reacts to a double click and spawns them, then add a check if that position is inside the no-spawn area. If it is, show them an error or something.

My avatar image. It's a progress bar. I too hope they'll take some time to improve the sync. It's roughly a bazillion^8 times better than in DP2, but there are still some annoying bugs to work out. That's why I hope some devs will actually participate in a beta with a decent amount of players and see what it's like and maybe also how to improve it.

MAP EDITOR INSTALLATION/PROBLEMS - collection thread
robhol replied to robhol's topic in DM Server-side
That does seem to happen disturbingly often, doesn't it. -
Nah, nothing bad about it Good to know, thanks.

Ah thx, i just had give a try. Sorry You "had to give a try", and when it gave you an error you didn't think of undoing it? Duh. I don't know whether to laugh or facepalm or cry, or any combination. Once again; read the basics. (I suggest everybody not to help this guy until he does.) Also, thehookerkiller, stop answering questions. You don't know enough, and just end up giving people wrong information.
-
Wow. I shouldv'e seen that. ._. Anyways, I think you should rename the function itself (I'm not sure, but I think I've heard that having functions the same names as av event isn't good.)
-
Hookerkiller, you obviously haven't got the foggiest idea of what you're saying. Shut up until you know what you're talking about. As for you, littlejth, 1) Don't listen to thehookerkiller 2) You need to give us more info. Error messages and warnings (the entire message) and the lines they indicate.

At least one megavolt, please.

Stupid questions or just plain stupid stuff, it amounts to the same thing. I just used the "stupid question" example because that's what crops up the most in here.
-
Actually, I've gotten two "board warnings" (oh noes) and while some/most users around here aren't capable of using their brains and someone should comment on that fact, I don't really want a ban. If the developers want me to answer questions, fine. If they want me to answer questions and kiss some lazy moron's ass, I'm definitely not interested. It's not really my problem anyways. It's not like I get paid for offering support here. I've decided that I'll answer the topics I feel deserve an answer, and laugh at/ignore the rest.

Apparently, the average MTA chatbox hater seems to think it suffers from not being a SA-MP chatbox - personally I noticed the difference and got the hell over it. But a tab would be nice I guess. Even less reason for them to whine.
-
Then I stand corrected. Maybe the chances weren't all that bad after all.

I don't hate MTA. Actually, I really like MTA:SA and want the development to keep moving forward. I don't think the team can't keep IV updated without slowing SA down and this is the closest i've been to a fully synched multiplayer of GTA. Even GTA:IV online (on 360) had ok'ish sync. On osoo's and robhols server, there is/was perfect sync and I was hooked. I don't want MTA:SA to slow down, basically. Actually, to be honest, sync in my server (as in all others) was pathetic - all this "sync mod" did was transform the original problem (people don't lose HP while shooting) into another (you take damage even if nobody appears to be firing at you) and also created quite a few other problems. (Kills not being accredited to the right person, etc., client-side weapon data modding also worked so people could have stuff like infinite range for weapons, increased fire rate, etc. Minigun rate with sawn-off HURTS.) I'm not saying it wasn't a nice idea, and I'm grateful to ooso that I got to test and use his script. However, you can't really deny that regular scripting has too many limits to do something as drastical as changing the whole sync scheme, and it was never really an elegant solution.
