No offense, but the way I see it there is very little point in advertising a server full of modes and scripts you didn't write, with the same old votemanager scheme that's already overused.. It doesn't really help that it appears to be hosted on a home line... (notice the dyndns host)

I think you need the same CD version as the EXE version, and that'd make sense... Unless you wanna buy a 1.0 version, you'll probably need to use a No-DVD patch.
-
You don't have the editor... Get an SVN client and download it from the resource SVN.

Full path?

You do have GTA: San andreas installed, right?
-
<@Talidan> where does MTA set its gta installation bath?
-
What is "OP"? If you mean OS, it looks like Vista... gta_sa.exe is irrelevant as this is the server... Ryan: which folder did you put the resources in? Did you try refreshing/restarting the server afterwards?

IIRC, 65535 elements (cars, objects, etc) in total on a server.. I guess there's a limit for how many can be visible at once though. Good thing is, MTA has its own in-built streamer, you don't need to write your own.

Oh. Then that's a bug in the admin panel, I guess. Not that it really matters, since you can always just reconnect.

The vG roleplay server (nightlies) has an interior that actually IS a bank. I have no idea in what interior/"heaven" it is, nor where it's located, but it is a "proper" bank interior... now that I think about it, it could be custom, but it does look very "real". Also, he already said that the wiki's list of interiors didn't include that one.

I'm not sure if you can put that query part "ORDER BY x DESC" in one of the parameters, (I actually think not..) but if you use 1.0 you can just use executeSQLQuery..
-
I'm not sure whether or not it's actually accurate, but according to its wiki page, onMarkerHit does NOT work with generic elements, only with players. I recommend that you create a collision shape (colshape) that you hook up to events, and keep the marker only for "decoration".

1) There are already 2 official testing servers 2) A third one isn't needed, if Eastern European people want to play, they can set up an Eastern-European server, it doesn't need to be official. 3) If a third one WAS needed, I don't see why this should be it. Come on, DynDNS, FFS.

I think Willy's point is more in the direction that you don't want someone to write your code if they don't know what a bool is, or if they do == instead of =, or refuse to read the wiki, or refuse to use their brain... But on the other hand, the one who didn't know what a bool is also wants to quite copy some existing features from servers around.. And by implementing them crappily, he does make a lagger fail copy of some other feature in another server That's also a good point..

That's the report system. You/players can use it with /report.

I think you mean the scoreboard. It's named scoreboard. Edit: unless it's not the scoreboard, in which case it's not named scoreboard and I have no idea what you're talking about, and you'll need to give more info.

http://development.mtasa.com You'll want to look into map files for the vehicles, and the createBlip function for the blips.
-
I don't get why people assume that because a server has "it", "it"'s open for free download. The maps you're looking for were made by hannu, if I remember correctly, and while I really do agree that the climbing mode deserves its own server with no voting, the whole thing is up to hannu... Of course, you can also make your own mode and maps. From what I can see, the actual code behind the climbing mode should be fairly simple and small, but designing and making the maps themselves is likely to be a bitch. They're large and often complex, and they probably need a lot of testing in the process..

Probably not. People are still going to stick to it, if only out of spite.
-
erm, wrong, this doesn't happen in 1.0 Well then, that's just sexy, ain't it. There's still quite a short backlog though. (By the way, using Page Up/Down to browse the backlog like SA-MP would be nice.)

Console sucks though - when a new line is posted, it automatically scrolls down and if you were in the middle of selecting something, the selection disappears. Also, when scrolling up it doesn't go too far back in history. I support the chat box suggestions. As for the suggestions, TAB-lessness has always bugged me too, I hope they'll change it. (Wrong subforum though. I don't get how you managed to miss the forum actually named "Suggestions". )
