Nicks are, as far as I know, max 24 characters. A color code is 7 chars, so 2 color codes would leave you with 10 chars for the name.. Should be possible.

Maybe you need to install Russian character sets. I'm not sure (I get the äîëõ too ) but it seems logical. In windows 7 you can install new "display languages" from the control panel. If/when Unicode support is finished, this will probably get a lot easier. As for a clan... that has very little to do with the MTA software itself, really. The common procedure is to ask clan members of the clan you want to join. In some cases you might be tested if you're admitted into the clan, you usually start wearing the clan's "tag" in your in-game nick. I'm known as [FMJ]robhol in-game, for example.

This will almost exclusively be used for MTA -> SA-MP, I think, and that makes it hard to applaud for me. The only semi-decent thing SA-MP ever made was that SA-spanning vehicle map, maybe that can be converted. Otherwise, what's the point. Anything that can be made in SA-MP can be made in MTA, and usually better.

See if gta_sa.exe is running. If it is, stop it and retry. Try running both GTA and MTA as admin. If those don't work, reinstall GTA + MTA, full uninstall first.
