If you install the 2 different mods in separate folders would that at least resolve the files issue? Then, only the registry would be a problem. I wonder if in the next DM release there could be a change to what registry values are changed I know that there is race in DM, but I prefer the Race platform that has been perfect for racing since it came out

Oh, I only tried it with Hay and CTO and those both worked. But I think when you do it with gamemodes like assault it does load the gamemode, just not a specific map for it

I know 1 way of having your server start with a specific gamemode. In your server config file at the bottom there are a bunch of resources being loaded. (dunno the exact syntax off hand ). All I did was add an entry and put a gamemode inside the brackets (ex:"Hay") and every time I start my server, Hay is loaded automatically. But I have to admit, at first it was confusing to start a server and just see a black screen when I joined, until I finally learned about votemode Maybe some of this info could be added to the server manual, since I basically had to mess around and figure it out on my own at first

Aren't you just able to have 2 separate installations? 1 for DM and 1 for Race I'm pretty sure I have a folder in "C:\Program files\MTA San Andreas" with DM in it and a sub-folder in that which has race and that seems to work for me I haven't played race thoroughly since then though, but I know I can start it and get to the menu

This is one of the modes I want to see the most in MTA, but would be very hard to make it seems There was also another topic somewhere talking about the same exact idea, and I'm not sure if zombie AI would be possible. I can only hope

I remember someone had a zip file with a bunch of .map files inside which had built up objects (all the coords). It didn't have everything iirc, but most of them. I have it on my other PC somewhere if it's unavailable.

afaik it's mostly the same, except for a few things that need to be changed (pickups, player spawns, etc...)

Hey all, When I found out about GoogleGears I was very happy. Since I don't have access to the net all the time I love the idea of having the wiki at my disposal all the time. But I'm having trouble: -I installed Google Gears and have the link at the bottom of the page that says "Go Offline" -When I click the link absolutely nothing happens, I'm not sure if anything is supposed to happen or If I should just wait -It says that I will be notified one the download is complete, but I;m not sure if it's even started Any help on this is appreciated

Yeah having Deathmatch in the name makes it hard for the un-informed to know what MTA:DM is actually capable of (so many different modes than just plain DM ). Anyway, I really hope to see player animations as I like to RP myself, and they add a lot to the experience. Another thing that I hope to see is for each skin to have their respective lines of speech. (women characters that talk like CJ creep me out lol )

I really like this idea, it's really interesting (and I would love to build structures for people in game). Although I have 2 warnings about the idea: -Hopefully you get enough people to play this mode because it would be hard with a small population (how many players does MTA support?) -And I have played on an RP server in sa-mp and having an economy on a server is hard, especially if admins or hackers can creat money, but maybe this can be prevented Hope this works out for you, and I might check it out when I can play regularly

Would it be possible to get a Sub-forum for sample scrips and snippets? I'm actually very interested in LUA, but I am a real n00b right now, and am trying to make my own script right now, but it would be nice to see plenty of existing samples made by the community to view and try to play around with (of course, only if people choose to post their script for others ). I'm asking because there is a "Scrip Showroom" in the sa-mp forums and something similar would be really nice here Another thought was maybe having a blank script for n00bs to start working from which has the basics already set which can be manipulated. I'm currently trying to star from scratch by reading the introduction but a "Blank Gamemode" which actually starts you off with something that works might be easier to start off from. Also, for anyone editing wit Notepad I suggest getting Notepad++ (there may be other good editors out there), since it works great
