The old 0.5 section was archived and replaced with a single "Multi Theft Auto 0.5r2" section per my request as to save some space on the forums' index page, and MTA 0.5r2's current activity level did not warrant having so many subforums.

I can't provide you with a definitive answer, but I'll ask someone more knowledgeable tomorrow in IRC for you tomorrow.

You can skip the audio driver if you'd like. Your video card is not very powerful and could be having issues with a very large number of objects.
