Some links might not always work now though there are still a few which do. Also play VC in single player first ( for about a min ) before installing this mod as it can stop a few crashes and errors before playing.

Go to the " Other Mods Section " and you may find your answer for other mods which may keep you happy for a while.. eg. rumble, gtat.

Civilians as the guys mentioned would cause lag problems which wouldnt be fun. Civilians would just get in the way and killing them constantly would get quite continous.

If you see cars flying in the air for a number of seconds thats probably because of the new " Nitro " feature which is enabled in this version of MTA. ( You can use this nitro feature also by pressing Shift ) Plus, what is your connection and your graphics card? Poor graphic cards can involve in lag at times and the movement of yourself can be very slow while on your screen players are moving like spiders as you mentioned.

Try using the " ASE " Server Browser for MTA, i find it more quicker to locate servers. Do you have the patch installed?

The Getaway didnt make a huge impact really, though seeing a GTA 3D engine around the streets of london will be very interesting.
