I want it really... i havwe the mirc admin an manhunt team and all the others cant you make a negotiating or anything like that? PLEASEEEE! i really like this game and as i can make a game with mirc addons it is really coooooooool! so please find someting for me. my father does not want to turn of firewall!

Dgtadude Posted February 2, 2004 Posted February 2, 2004 LOL . Well let me get it to you this way . Tell your "father" to buy a new pc for you that does not run a firewall . Or just change the ports and make sure the firewall does not block any conntections

ijsf Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 ffs people, you don't understand.. he's behind a NAT router and his father doesn't want to map any ports.. Well there's actually not much you can do about it (if your father doesn't know how the router works, just map some high ports)
Chewd Posted February 4, 2004 Posted February 4, 2004 ask your dad if he is willing to have your ISP open all ports related to MTAVC and keep the rest firewlled. (assuming your behind a NAT) If not.. jsut ask if he'll only open ports on the router related to VC. Other than that.. nm else to say.
Coolnat2004 Posted February 5, 2004 Posted February 5, 2004 #1 whats wrong with zonealarm? suggest anything better? (I do have the pro version) #2 ever try that nifty little "reset" button on the back of the router? It'll reset everything back to factory settings..and most likely the password too..

Evil Posted February 5, 2004 Posted February 5, 2004 yes theres something wrong with zonealarm and 99% of software firewalls their all vournable to packet hack's might not think much of it but just by changing few simple packets you could gain acess to many things that might be on someones pc (web servers,gaming servers) or even read peoples url's or if you run something like netmeeting or pc anywhere someone could actualy get past the password ya put and take control and most software firewalls wont detect these things. firewall i use is ISA would not have it any different
